Built a house and had them install heating and air system. Told them we wanted a whole house humidifier put on and to make sure it was on the quote, so we could get it in the budget it with the bank. They sent a second quote which we thought had the humidifier on it, but they claimed after the job was finished that it was not included and it was an extra that we needed to pay for. They had lots of other extras that just happened to show up as well. When it was all said and done they got us for a little $4000 in extras. So don’t trust them and their quotes because they find all kinds of things to charge and claim it was just missed in the original quote. I even had original quotes email with new quote and still they claim they were not in the quote and we needed to pay. Billing was not the only problem either getting them to come to the house and work was sometimes impossible and if or when they did show up most of the time they either didn’t have the parts to do the work or they didn’t know how to hook up what they were at the house to do. We spent our first two nights in our new house without heat because they were supposed to be there early that week to finish hooking up the heating system, but when they showed on Friday (not early that week) they didn’t have the correct kit to hook up our system and couldn’t get the kit until the following Monday. This was after we had told them several times that we would be moving in that week. The humidifier was not hooked up until just a couple weeks ago and when they came out to hook it up they sent two guys that had no clue how to hook it up and at first said they couldn’t do it and someone else would have to come out at a later date at this point we just wanted to be finished with them, so they called Nathan (who was our sales guy and the boss) and he walked them through on how to hook it up. My husband has had to redo some of their work and also run the power to the units and humidifier because they never sent out the correct technicians for the job. I would recommend A&C trades to anyone needing heat and air work. **★★★★★ — smcrane1554, March 2015** > A & C Trades and Services installed a geothermal heatpump at our residence to replace our propane furnace and conventional air-conditioning system which were nearing the ends of their useful lives. We decided to install a geothermal heatpump because of the ever-increasing cost of propane and the availability of relatively inexpensive TVA electric power in our area. A & C Trades began work on our installation within a very short time after we accepted their proposal in late January 2015. They were one day from completing the work when our region was hit by an ice storm and two snowstorms, which caused our electricity to fail. We were out of power for nearly 24 hours. When the utility company began restoring power, the power surges damaged the controller board in the propane furnace, rendering it only intermittently operable. A & C Trades did the best that anyone could have done under such difficult circumstances. They finished the job as soon as possible, taking into consideration the near-impossibility of reaching our house because of the snow and ice on the roads. They did a neat and clean installation of our heatpump, meaning that they did not track dirt into our house, and they cleaned up the jobsite well before leaving. A & C Trades is very knowledgeable concerning geothermal heatpumps. They are the largest installer of residential geothermal heatpumps in the State of Tennessee. They were able to answer all the questions about geothermal heatpumps that we posed to them. We are pleased with their work, and we have already recommended A & C Trades to friends who are considering replacing existing HVAC systems or building new homes. **★★★★ — frankstidham, Feb. 2015** > The crew extended their normal workweek to complete the Watersource Heat Pump Unit installation because the former airsource heat pump had been removed and it was rather warm weather. Work was done neatly in appearance and professionally. Crew came back promptly to finish a filter installation and to make some tweaking adjustments. They did an excellent job installing the in-ground pipe work (despite our very compacted soil), and connecting up the system as well as explaining the system's operation.
