She was able to help me figure out what I wanted, how to make it special, turn it into plans and help it all come together. A: Daltile has a nice light to medium gray subway tile (desert gray) I used in this white cabinet and countertop kitchen. Good luck! **Q: Bathroom reno - your best advise needed** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hello Houzz Readers - looking for your best advise on upgrading my 1970's bathroom. I have $10,000 (Canadian) to spend and looking for your feedback on the best ways to utilize these funds. Obviously everything can't be top notch quality as the budget won't allow that. I don't plan to change the shape but everything will be torn back to the studs (yes that is mould on the ceiling). What are the brands names to look for and where can I save? Eg. is there much difference in a $400 tub vs a $1000 tub or a $90 sink vs a $300 sink? Taps - what's the best quality brand? A: Panasonic makes very quiet exhaust fans with lights, several styles under the name Whisper Light. There are many economical tile options, including discontinued stock. For grout I would advise the kind that does not need sealing, and doesn't stain or mildew.
