He was charged exactly what was quoted and he paid that amount. Two days later he called to say he overpaid. I offered to split the difference with him rather than argue with him. We had given the customer an ETA, arrived within that ETA, did the job which looks great and because he thinks he heard the wrong price, which wasn't very different from the correct price, would have the audacity to give a 2 star rating. My husband hired this company to install a pool liner in our above ground pool. Three men were sent to her home and worked for about an hour to remove the old liner and replace the new liner. Upon completion of the job I was called out to look at the liner and the person in charge informed me that I should leave the water on to fill the pool up for certain amount of time that day stop it overnight and continue to fill up the pool the next day. I believe the gradual water into the pool was to help the liner conform to the shape of the pool. All appeared fine until the water got higher enough for us to turn the filter on. When they attached the new return line to the filter they cracked our Hayward Turbo Cell T-Cell 5 ( we have a saltwater filter). This is an estimated $650 piece of equipment! There was no way we would realize the crack until we turned the filter on. We immediately contacted him and he denied it right away that his men didn’t have to touch that piece of equipment. However that’s not true because like I said you have to connect the return to the filter and they installed their own equipment replacing the return we had therefore needing to attach the hose which was connected to the filter. We have pictures of the cracked piece of equipment that we sent him with gushing water. He then said he wanted still shots showing him the exact cracks. We even showed him a video so he could see that his men did move the pipes because we had the deck painted last year and the pipe is now shifted from that position. Since showing him the video and photos with the exact cracks he has ghosted us and ignored our attempts to reach him so he could rectify this problem. I wish there was a place I could upload my photos to prove what I have said. **Comment from LONG ISLAND SWIM-POOL SERVICE:** > The crack on the salt generator cell was from it not being blown out correctly The only way cracks develop from that are from ice damage. We did NOT winterize the pool or any of the equipment. We changed the liner and never touched the salt generator cell or the filter. We tried many times to explain this to the customer and his wife. They should take their gripe to the people who winterized the pool. **★★★★★ — HU-332323411, Nov. 2020** > Long Island Swim have shown that they are true professionals so far. Their crew just installed a semi inground pool. They were courteous, friendly and did a great install. The plan was to wait a day or two and backfill the hole around the pool with soil before a forecasted rain storm. Unfortunately for me the liner was defective and leaking to the point were it was flooding the 35 inch deep hole around the pool. We were in a state of panic. I drained the pool and called LI Swim. I was concerned about getting a callback since it was a Sunday and I had already paid for the install. Within an hour, Barry the owner called me and told me that he will contact the pool retailer (Aquacade Pools) and work to get me a new liner. Luckily the pool manufacturer (Aquasport) had a liner in stock and sent it. Unfortunately it arrived during a torrential downpour. I was pretty successful in keeping the hole from flooding by using tarps and back filling with a foot of soil to try to keep the base of the pool dry. Unfortunately, the leak from within the pool caused the base to become saturated. That's when I notice our worst fears came true, several uprights became unlevel. Barry assured me they will back their work up 100 percent with no hassle. I found him to be knowledgeable and his response comforting. They are sending a crew on Mon. There were some issues with the installation so I contacted Barry. He was very apologetic and sent a crew out to address the issues. The crew that installed his pool has been installing pools since the 1980s. Sometimes it looks like we're racing, when in fact, the crew is doing it's job as efficiently as possible. The customer said we didn't do the installation the same way as the youtube video he watched. No professional installer will do an installation that way. The videos are made for the home owner who has absolutely no experience installing a pool. > The customer emailed us after the installation to say that one of the uprights was not level. We scheduled an appointment to check out the uprights. Unfortunately, after we checked it out, we didn't follow through with a repair date. I take full responsibility for that. The customer said he sent another email. We never received another email and if he had just called we would have realized that we forgot to take care of the upright and would have scheduled an appointment with him. > I just got off the phone with the customer and apologized about that. Bottom line is I told him that as long as we were paid for the installation, we will guarantee the work. We made an appointment for later this week to take care of the upright, which is a minor adjustment. I reaffirmed with him, that if he has any other problems, we will address them. > > We take customer satisfaction very seriously and want every customer to be happy. > > On Friday, July 12 we adjusted the upright on his pool.
