We'd initially chosen another architect for the project but then felt somewhat lukewarm about the initial ideas presented. We are glad we eventually switched to Paola. She listened to what we wanted and delivered a plan that was what we told her we wanted and more. And it didn't end there. Any renovation project, we eventually realized, has to be designed twice - once based on what you expect at the outset and another based on what you actually find when the house gets torn down.
