I just installed my first cabinet project since their merge. The glaze is subpar to what they used to be, the boxes are subpar to what they used to be. The lead time has quadrupled and the new components are crap. A few of the component accessories used for fillers were off color and had to get a custom mixed paint to touch up. Some wood is poplar some is maple or birch. As every piece of wood is unique there can be variations in wood-stained finishes. Additionally, as cherry wood ages, it darkens over time, which could be why what you received is lighter than expected. There were also dings in multiple spots. Over half the cabinets we ordered had to be replaced. The paint job on the new cabinets sent were just as bad as the original ones. In the end, we ended up having to get all the cabinets repainted locally. Overall, our kitchen remodel took over 2 months longer than expected because of the sending back and repainting. I thought I was paying extra for higher quality cabinets but I now feel like they are expensive AND low quality. I paid for "all plywood" but they are plywood core with a pressed fiberboard layer and fake wood laminate face. The stuff is terrible, it scratches and tears from anything even remotely sharp. Once it tears it looks awful and there it no fixing it! ALSO: many of the boxes were out-of-square in multiple planes which made install a LOT harder. I had to plane some edges and attempt to force others into square, not fun. The back plywood is basically a piece of tissue paper so there's no integrity for mounting them to the wall. The overall finished product is OK but I do not feel like these are quality and I do not feel like they are going to last. I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't do more research because these cabinets are low quality and now there's no going back. **Comment from Waypoint Living Spaces:** > We're sorry to hear this! In October, we reached out to get new door and drawer fronts. We hired the local professional installer they recommended. We paid our deposit and waited weeks and weeks as the installer kept saying production was delayed. 5 months later, we learned that the installer stole our money. When I reached out to Waypoint, their customer service team took no ownership for recommending a thief. The additional recommendations they made were contractors who didn't return calls. Steer clear of this company. Their cabinets are not great and their customer service is the worst I've ever seen. **★★★ — HU-202815931, Dec. 2023** > The quality is ok. There was nothing special order. They could sell them again. I think $700 is outrageous but obviously was willing but since it doesn’t work we wasted a lot of money. There is a reason they don't have a social media presence and it's because people would tell you the truth. I ordered the400 series and every single cabinet door was damaged in some way - installation, manufacturer defect etc hard to know upon installation.. I have 18 cabinets and paid 20k so I said unacceptable what would these look like in one yr.....not ok. Either show me a better door or take them out. 600 series pay another 2k+ most of these are damaged and have to be reordered some more than once. They all have 4 indentions in the door in 2 places where the paint machine holds them .... so this cabinet that cost 1k each you need to melt wax, fill the hole cover it with paint so it looks OK but then, when you are filling your cabinets, your plates might get hung on the protruding staples and giant bead of jaggedy glue coming down in the corner of every cabinet???? I paid 1k or more per cabinet - the quality sucks, quality control sucks don't waste your money. I'm 50k in on a 120sq ft kitchen 4months later........enough said. Waypoint is very easy to process a warranty and warranty comes very quickly. I think having the right dealer and cabinet installers is a key to success.
