> After watching dozens of YouTube paint color videos and getting more and more confused, I hired Eric to do a color consultation. My néw condo was painted a purple-raspberry color that made the space look too dark. Eric brought over some canvases with the proposed wall colors painted on them and I was able to narrow down the choices. Eric also referred me to a interior painting contractor who did a great job and gave me a discount based on Eric’s referral.

## Community Q&A

**Q: white wash fireplace?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello, I’m putting up some barn siding/ shiplap around my fireplace with a wood stove . Currently debating on white washing the brick . For now I plan to keep the wood natural color. I’m thinking a very light white wash so you can still see some of the bricks color. I’m torn because it seems like normal brick isn’t really in style. Thanks

A: I agree- finish everything first.  But I personally hate red brick.  Maybe because I grew up in a brick house that always seemed to "busy" for me.  But I really like white washed brick- and that's not a "trend."  They've been doing that in the South for ages.
