> It was a pleasure working with Edgar to discuss the project in detail and we valued his suggestions and recommendations. We were impressed getting a proposal and we proceeded to schedule a date. Edgar had the work accomplished within the time frame. We can only highly recommend him for his professionalisms, knowledge, expertise and pleasurable attitude. We are thrilled having found this company for any future electrical work or recommend them to our friends. A very big thank you to Edgar and team for job well done!!

> They installed a power transfer switch and a new panel for me. I had a few other projects and a number of referrals lined up for them and discovered an issue with the work.
>
> I have had power outage issues a number of times ever since they did the work. They keep blaming it on my "old wiring". I hold a PhD in electrical engineering and feel not only offended by wrong logic/information they provide but also by their terrible service. Stay away. They do not even answer my question and gentle request to come and see what the source of issue might be.

**Comment from Brains Automation:**

> Thank you for the revised review Sean I know it's frustrating when your new electric system work as expected and trip the breaker for safety reasons I want to enfacis that we are a small Bussines ano even that since the first time you told me about the issue my response was promptly and I drol came to your home on our scheduled meeting to check the issue. However, when I arrived, you weren't there, and I wasn't able to check the issue. You told me that you would send me pictures of the breakers, but I didn't receive them until two months later when you contacted me again. At that time, you seemed frustrated about the situation, but I never ignored you. My response was delayed by 48 hours because I was on training out of town.
>
> During my last visit, we both saw that the wiring on the new panel was neat and tidy. I also explained the cause of the breaker tripping, which was due to the cleaners' vacuum getting connected to a circuit of 15 amps that shared all the lights and outlets of one room. This caused an overload, and the AFCI trip prevented any fire hazard. I also explained that, if your old breaker box never trip the breaker is because your old panel were inefficient and was ignoring the issue. This is the same reason why new codes requires to install AFCI on all circuits because this new technology can detect any small issue and trip the breaker to protect your home

> I’ve been working with Edgar for several years now, on both my interior design clients' homes as well as my own home and garden. Edgar has replaced and installed new interior lighting, new electrical panels, exterior lighting, and security cameras. All my clients and I have been very happy with his services and we recommend him highly.

> I have only good things to say about Estiben. I was introduced to him by a home renovation consultant that I'm working with, who recommended him very highly. At the time, I needed my shower hardware replaced and the shower door fixed ahead of my elderly in-law's visit. Even though Estiben was busy on another project at the time, he understood my urgency and did this job outside of his work day. He helped me source the correct parts, got the job done efficiently, and even followed-up after to make sure everything was working fine. He was professional, arrived when he said he would, took the amount of time that he had estimated, and charged me a fair price. As I embark on my home renovation in the near future, I definitely intend to reach out to him again.

**Comment from Brains Automation:**

> Hi Akiva thank you for review I hope your elderly in-law enjoy the visit in your home, I will be more than happy to help you again!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Smart switches & outlets? Suggestions please!** *(in Electrical Wiring)*

We just re-wired our entire house and need to let the electrician know what switches/outlets we'd like. Any recommendations on what brands/models to use? We need several dimmers and also switches for bathroom/laundry fans. Assume not all outlets need to be smart. Also, favorite outlets with USB integrated in them? Also, sources for discout purchasing?

Thanks!!

A: I will said Lutron and depending on your high end you can start with Caseta or you can go with HomeWorks that is the highest level.
But what I recommend is that before you start with your smart home you need to understood that if you want this devices to work properly you need first to build a strong networking system at your home however Lutron don’t need your network to keep working so you don’t need to worry about reconnect or reboot your system.

**Q: Residential lights flickering** *(in Home Repair)*

Hello,
I have a home built in 1993. All of a sudden we developed whole-house flickering lights. I noticed voltage drops throughout the house measured with a multi-meter. Then our circuit breaker box started to smoke one evening. We shut off the power and called an electrician. They diagnosed the issue as corrosion on the electrical drop-down line and the meter box. Both the meter box and drop down line were replaced, along with a brand new breaker box. The meter itself had been replaced/upgraded by the power company about a year prior.
Ever since these repairs, the lights in our home (in various rooms) flicker along with the agitation of the washing machine. They also temporarily dim when a large appliance turns on. The power company and a few different electricians tell us nothing is wrong with our wiring, power, or the washer itself. What can I do here? We never had an issue like this in the previous 10 years in this home.

Thank you!

A: Call your utility company they may have a lose connection on the neutral wire. They also will inspect your main meter for you .
