Jody Luna, designer, helped me with the first project which was painting the outside of my mid century modern house. She chose the perfect green and then followed with helping me design my yard to make the overall look fresh and updated. I couldn’t be happier with the results. > My second project was to redo my primary bedroom. It was white and very contemporary. We decided to go for a more dark, dramatic vibe. Jody put shiplap on the pitched ceiling and stained it a perfect wood color. Then she painted the walls a deep, deep, navy blue. In addition, Jody used accent colors of camel and off white with a splash of green and burgundy which makes this room feel like a private sanctuary to read, sleep, or watch tv. The art and accessories presented represent sailing, horses, and architectural structures. It really is an ideal place to relax. She finished the en-suite bath by using existing white tile and painting the walls and ceiling the same navy used in the bedroom. Art in shades of blue creates layered texture and cohesiveness. Towels in a light silver with a navy monogram finished the bath. Overall, Jody definitely started with a blank slate and made a beautiful living area that I’m so proud that it’s mine.
