> Spectrum built me a getaway home on Whidbey Island that is now my permanent residence. Their workmanship was outstanding, they were very easy to work with, they had terrific ideas and collaborated well with the architect. They were extremely professional, had excellent subcontractors, and the project was finished on time. Tim is also just a wonderfully honest, decent, man and he has continued to help out when I need recommendations about further work on the house. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

> Where to begin! Tim and Amy built my getaway home on Whidbey Island, working with DeForest Architects. It was a small project on a somewhat challenging lot due to bluff and slope conditions. I couldn't have had a better experience. They are knowledgeable, honest, timely and creative. The work itself was outstanding, on budget, and they stand by their work. Because they know the island well, they had great suggestions about local craftsmen to do wood and metal work. For example, we added a tin alcove between the studs in the kitchen that I use for magnets (pen, shopping list, photos etc). I was on a limited budget, and they helped me achieve special touches at a reasonable cost. The original plans called for a separate building for a studio, but because of the slope they suggested adding a daylight basement instead. I ended up with more space at a lower cost. They communicate very well which was particularly important since my main residence is in Seattle. To top it all off, they are lovely people.

> We hired Spectrum to deliver an expansion which included one bedroom, one bathroom and one sunroom, as well as completely redo two other bath rooms and a bit of the kitchen. The plans were drawn up by our architect and he worked with subs to do the renovation over about 10 months. The job went as we hoped and we are pleased with the outcome.

> Tim and Amy Dale were terrific. The project required that we tear down a previous house, and build a new one on the same site, with an advanced septic system, as required by the state of Washington. From beginning to end the project went smoothly and well, and stayed close to the costs Tim and Amy projected at the beginning. The house had a complicated design, including eight skylights. Everything got done beautifully. Their contractors were terrific, and worked with great care, especially the painters, the iron guy who did our deck rails, and the siding guys, who, after seeing how the exterior trim looked against the gray siding decided not to paint as the specs required, but waited for me to come by and see how it looked. Beautiful. So, we skipped the exterior trim paint, and the painters gave it a clear coat. All in all the experience was so engaging, on so many levels, that frankly I'd like to build something with Tim and Amy again. The house turned out so well it was written about in a feature story in the Seattle Times.

> We wanted to build a home with special attention to each material being used to ensure it was the "greenest" available. We needed a builder who was willing to meet with us and the subcontractors at each phase of the construction, review their tasks and materials (down to the glues, adhesives, tubing, screening, finishes, wiring, plumbing, lubricants, wallboard mud, concrete forms, etc.) - and to replace any materials we could find a greener alternative for.
>
> Spectrum and their subs were completely on board with our goals and after confirming that each of our replacement materials would actually perform as needed, used the green materials for their work. Besides being great to work with, the Spectrum subs were also superior craftsmen (and women). Throughout the building process we had so many special requests and Spectrum gracefully accommodated them all.
>
> Tim was on-site nearly every day and kept the project moving. He was also great at giving us the advance notice we needed to make decisions necessary to keep the project on pace. His subs were easy to talk with and many times offered valuable advice and information that actually helped to shape the best outcome of the project.
>
> We have been in our new house for 18 months now, and are very happy with every aspect of the construction. The house is a 3800 sq ft northwest contemporary style with a blend of concrete, steel, wood, tile and other finishes. Tim and his team seamlessly managed the integration of all of these elements.
>
> Tim and Amy were wonderful, easygoing partners in the building process. If we had it to do over, we would definitely choose Spectrum again - we highly recommend them.
