> Hi, our house is the Torrence house shown in Ron's picture gallery.
> We hired Ron Quay of Quay Homes to build a custom 4244 sq ft home on 1 acre in Northwest Phoenix Arizona. Our arrangement was a cost plus fee, so we were able to review every purchase, quote, and change order prior to committing to it. Ron is incredibly patient, and honest. I would trust him with money and construction details. This was our first custom home ever, and he stayed beside us through the whole process, from the construction loan, hiring a design architect, permits and zoning, inspections, and final closing. He provided professional and personal guidance during the decision making process while not being pushy or bossy. He has some preferred subcontractors, but alway got multiple bids on every task, and shared them with us, weighing pros and cons of cost/workmanship/timeliness with each one. The home appraised for $929,000, and I'd trust him on a $20 Million home if I had that kind of money. I cannot emphasize how patient Ron is. He kept me by his side anytime I was available, teaching me along the way, and never, ever got frustrated with my millions of stupid questions. Most people having a custom home built would say "I can do that", and "next time I'd just be the prime contractor myself....but I'd say... what an enjoyable experience having Ron do all the managing, money, scheduling, and keeping track of the timeline. He literally saved us tens of thousands of dollars during construction with all the materials and subcontractors. He is super efficient, super nice to his subs, pays them on time, and was ALWAYS pleasant to the permit folks, the inspectors, the utility folks and mainly to us, and my nosey family and friends that constantly stopped by to check up on the progress. Five years after the construction, Ron still stays in touch with us, more on a personal friend level, but he is always there professionally as well. So in summary I got an outstanding well built custom home, and a respected friend for life. Not sure how many folks could say that about their builder. As for me, I'm a retired military veteran, and my word is my honor.

> Quay homes built our home. The photos in the folder 'Village 211' were taken shortly after our home was completed. It's beautiful and well built with amazing quality. We have had absolutely no major issues. And any questions or concerns we have had, even years after the sale, have been responded to (and resolved, if needed) quickly.
> Ron Quay is an honest, talented, quality builder. We highly recommend him for any building project, big or small, that you may have!

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the ledger stone used for this kitchen?** *(in Photo Questions)*

As much detail on color, manufacturer as you have would be helpful. Is there a No. CA place to get it? Thanks in advance.

A: Hello ccavallo
The stone veneer on this BBQ is called china multi slate and I purchase it from Anasazi Stone in Scottsdale AZ. I am not sure where you are located but I saw something similar on line at http://www.msistone.com in Northern CA. This is a real stone veneer that comes in panels and should be carried at most stone yards. Hope this helps.
