> Glenn designed and built our dining room table, family room table and end tables and a gorgeous wall unit. Couldn't be happier with the quality, attention to detail and design. He worked with us to understand exactly what we wanted and make sure to bring it to life.

**★★★★★ — kkarla, Feb. 2014**

> I needed a higher custom bar stool based on a modern style I liked, that swiveled. Eidos Design met all of my requirements and was a pleasure to work with. Being a designer, I require a high standard, which Eidos met. I will be working with them again for other Custom Wood projects in the future. They take the guess work out of custom.

> Custom design of a cabinet to house/display books and our sound equipment (no TV). We had some ideas of what we wanted, Glenn of Eidos Design offered further ideas and suggestions and in the end produced a wonderful piece of art and furniture. We continue to be very pleased with our cabinet.

> We have worked with Glen numerous times, his designs are unique and his attention to detail is fabulous.
>
> The detail work and uses of different woods combined into one piece are amazing. If you have a client that loves details, Eidos Design furniture is something you can easily show your clients

> Working with Glenn at Eidos Designstudio was a great experience from beginning to end. I used Houzz to find a contractor and Glenn called back within 10 minutes of my submission - no exaggeration. He came to our house and promised a quote within a week, which he delivered. Over the course of the projects, Glenn was always on time in the morning and kept us informed of his schedule should it impact us in some way. He cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day and was always unfailingly polite.
>
> We had Glenn install wainscoting up our stairwell and install a countertop in our laundry room. The workmanship on both projects was excellent and, most importantly, my wife also thought so :) Glenn really has an artist's eye for his projects and was able to fulfill his vision exactly how we agreed on.
>
> Glenn was very good at helping us understand our options and where there may be a "gotcha" that would affect the project budget. He would inform us when something was going outside of the quote and what it would cost, so that when the final bill came there were no nasty surprises.
>
> We are building a wall unit in Fall 2013 and I will definitely be asking Eidos Designstudio to quote on the project.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Happy to find your original desk for keyboard. Need something similar** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi
I am looking for a woodworker who is willing to work on a design with me, and build a bookcase/keyboard -stand/desk. I have worked out specific ideas but wondering if they are doable for a $2,000 budget. Kathryn

A: Hi Kathryn:
Could you tell me a little bit more about the details of the project you have in mind. What kind of wood were thinking of? What is the size you require and what details would you like to have included?
The cabinet you are looking at is a very complicated piece to build because of the all the curved elements. Additionally, the the australian lacewood veneer adds to the cost that being $4500 fifteen years ago. However, I may beable to make something with straight lines that would serve you purpose. Please fill me in. Looking forward to talking further about your project.

**Q: What is the price of this coffee table? Why can't I see that please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can one get this in a darker wood if requested? It's a beautiful, cool coffee table!! Hoping the price is good and there is a chance that the wood could be darker. Thanks!

A: Hello sdhappy11: I can make this table for you in a darker wood .Would walnut be dark enough for your enviorment? Another option is to use maple and have it matched to a color chip of your choosing. The price of the table is $1550.00

Thank you

**Q: Crown molding gaps in Kitchen... would YOU caulk it?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi Design friends! I need help! We have just had a new kitchen installed nice white cabinets with crown molding... Slight problem in that as is typical, the ceiling is not even so there are small gaps that makes the crown molding look odd. They are big enough that you notice them, but not so big that I though caulking would be a good idea. The crown molding is flush on the ceiling, there isn't suposed to be gap. Our contractor is telling us that if we caulk the crown molding we will have to also paint it AND the crown molding so it doesn't look weird. He also says this will mean we loose our "shadow effect" of the crown molding. Since the crown molding is flush on the ceiling, I'm not sure how much "shadow effect" we actually have... Our ceilings are white as are the cabinets and the crown molding. I'm not sure if this will look weird, all I know is that the gaps look like a horrible installer did the work. We paid a lot of money for the cabinets and really want them to look great. Please help!

A: take a small peice of veneer with white glue on both side and fill the gap. The veneer can be sanded to make it thinner where the gap is narrower .Sand when it is dry and paint over top.

**Q: Best looking shades for this lamp???** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We inherited a very pretty set of lamps. We are going to use them on our nightstands. I'm having a hard time picturing some shades that would look nice with them without looking dated. A simple tapered drum shade? Or do I need to go with a classic look for the lame and bring some more modern elements into the bedroom elsewhere?

A: Check out Eric and Susans lampshade in Toronto Ontario .They are located on Mount Pleasant ave at Eglinton

**Q: any ideas where i could find something like this but in a square?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

coffee table

A: Take a look at the bathos series of tables that I have created ."Center in the square is a 43"x 43" x 16" table made from figured cherry with a glass top.Take a look at these table which can be made in and geometric dimension to suite your needs

**Q: Small kitchen ideas** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We need help choosing counterparts and flooring that won't make iour small kitchen look smaller. We can change the color of the cabinets if necessary. Thanks.

A: I would have made the cabinets and fridge a bright white and contrasted the counter top with a midnight black ,
