## Community Q&A

**Q: Does this leathered granite go with my cabinets?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

LOVE the satiny feel of this leathered granite. Stone yard says it is an exotic level 7 stone (no name). Are those hairlines a problem in that large translucent spot? They don't have a sample I can take home and the slab is outside in full sun so hard to get a good read. Does it go with my cabinets, white apron front sink? Please advise

A: Hi paynerobin,
It looks like your cabinets are a darker wood, but we recently had a client keep their wood cabinets and install Colonial White granite (mentioned in an above comment,) and then also installed a slate lookalike LVT. There are still a few more updates they'd like to address (hardware, replace the backsplash, darken the under-cabinet boards), but they ran out of time before tenants had to move in. The owner of the house was torn between this slab and another one which was creamier and had tan veins in it. In the end I believe they would have preferred the latter as it was warmer and would've tied in better with the cabinets. If you have any questions, I have more pictures!
