> York Lighting is a lighting showroom providing lighting design and fixtures to contractors and retail customers In Hampton Roads Va. We work with over 150 contractors and I can say without question that Criner Remodeling is the best contractor we work with. Their customers have nothing but good things to say about them. I've seen their work and it's amazing.

> Criner staff did an excellent job from start to finish. All the work on design and prep really paid off as the actual remodeling work went quickly and very smoothly. Our lead - Tony - was great. Very friendly, professional and did an excellent job with the carpentry and overseeing the subs. Follow up was terrific. They came to inspect and did all minor fixes quickly with no questions. Criner team is an excellent company and would highly recommend. You pay a bit extra but you get a lot for the money. No horror stories or long delays like I hear from many of my friends.

**Comment from Criner Remodeling:**

> Thank you so much for the great review! We appreciate when clients leave positive feedback and it was pleasure working with you!

**★★★★ — Sharon Huizingh Cunningham, Oct. 2014**

> Very pleased with the quality of our completed project. Would recommend Criner without a doubt. Ebony is a talented designer and Dan was great to work with.

**★★★★★ — barbandchips, May 2014**

> Complete remodel of our 100 year old kitchen. New walls, cabinets, appliances, plumbing, electrical, ceiling. Our designer Ebony was wonderful to work with and has a real gift for envisioning new looks while listening carefully and incorporating our needs and ideas into the design. Doug our on sight contractor was professional but fun. Our girls, dog and cats all came to look forward to Doug arriving each day. There were some unexpected surprises, of course, and it cost more than we had originally planned, but the final result is even better than we imagined. Any time we had an issue or small detail that needed tweaking it was addressed quickly and professionally. If we could afford to I would hire them for further work on the house. Someday ....

**Comment from Criner Remodeling:**

> We enjoyed every minute working on your kitchen Barbara & Chip! Thank you for choosing us as your remodeling contractor. Don't hesitate to contact us for any reason!

**★★★★★ — genesgarden, Oct. 2013**

> Criner Remodeling provided the complete kitchen upgrade. A great design, smooth rip out, electrical and plumbing upgrades, install and finish work all on schedule. No surprises. A superior job, professional at all times with great follow up over the years. After using the kitchen over the past 4 years (cooking 5-6 meals a week) there is nothing I would change and it still looks as good as the first day.

**★★★★★ — The Flintstones, Sept. 2013**

> This was our second transaction with Criner Remod. A kitchen and living areas redo 3 years ago has been such a pleasure to live in we returned to redo 2 bathrooms, replace a lot of flooring throughout the house, replace a stairway and fireplace, build a new porch roof and repair/refinish the entirety of the house exterior. The process hasn't changed since our first encounter - nice design and material selection effort leads to the creation of the master plan for construction which is followed and updated as necessary along the way. Few problems and "unexpecteds" arose, but when they did, they were identified and dealt with before they could become serious. The people were even better than the process - all bent over backwards to make sure we were getting everything we needed and wanted. A+

**★★★★★ — ideel, July 2013**

> Criner Remodeling completely transformed our 1959 master bathroom and added a complete walk-in master bedroom closet to the outside of our home, making it appear as it has always been part of the original house. All design plans were discussed and decided upon and computer images were reviewed by us so we knew exactly what to expect. All finishes and fixtures were priced ahead of time. There were no surprises or hidden costs. Tony, our lead carpenter arrived each morning at 7:00am and worked all day without fail. He whistled while working hard and the entire process was stress free for us. I do not work outside the home and felt totally comfortable having him here. Everyone at Criner was professional, capable, prompt and a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely hire them for future projects and would highly recommend them!

**Comment from Criner Remodeling:**

> Thank you so much for the kind words @ideel! It’s always encouraging when customers acknowledge the good work of our team. Tony and the rest of the Criner team had a blast working on your home!

**★★★★★ — siobal, March 2013**

> We interviewed a few other remodeling companies before we chose Criner. We were very impressed with their proposals for our additional bathroom, and had many feasible options to choose from. We were very satisfied with the quality of the materials used and the expertise of the carpenters. They were all efficient, punctual, friendly, clean, and very trust worthy individuals. They exceeded our expectations from the beginning till completion. The final product is exactly what we wanted. The addition blended very well with the rest of our home. We did spend a little more than we expected, but it was not something that Criner could have foreseen. We couldn't be happier with this experience, and highly recommend Criner Remodeling for any remodeling needs.

> This is the second time we have entrusted our home to Criner Remodeling. This remodel was an extensive kitchen redesign. As usual, we were extremely pleased with all aspects of their work. Because all of the Criner team members pay attention to detail and complete quality projects from design to construction, they always earn 6 stars from us. We were aware of deadlines, the budget, change orders and the "bottom line". We highly recommend Criner Remodeling.

**Comment from Criner Remodeling:**

> Thank you very much for the lovely comments Mr. & Mrs. J.! It’s always encouraging when customers acknowledge the good work of our team. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

**★★★★★ — kapowellxyz, Aug. 2012**

> Criner Remodeling has completed four major remodeling jobs for us and we are currently into job five. They continuously provide excellent service. Each customer is assigned to one lead expert that manages the work and is available for daily updates and verification of both the planned and completed work. During the initial stages of each project, we met with the design team. They gathered requirements and offered professional suggestions. Our ideas were captured into a CAD system which gave us a great way to visualize the changes. They also seek to create designs that are highly functional, yet unique. Our kitchen layout comfortably flows around an island with circular edges which makes it easy to move around without running into hard edges. The addition of a bar area provides a 90 degree link between the kitchen and living room. The bar is centrally placed in the addition and appears to belong to either room depending on your view. In remodeling our master bathroom, they used the original footprint to create an open and highly visually appealing design. This was accomplished by replacing an enclosed shower with all glass, replacing solid tile with stone and glass tile, building a stair step platform tub area, and using a wall of floor to ceiling cabinets. We were given opportunities to iterate on the design and color. If given an opportunity to do it again, I would not change a single thing.

**Comment from Criner Remodeling:**

> Thank you very much for the lovely comments Mr. & Mrs. P.! Over the years it has been a pleasure working with you. It’s always encouraging when customers acknowledge the good work of our team. Thank you for your continued support!

**★★★★★ — truw, Aug. 2012**

> Criner Remodeling did an outstanding job on our three room remodeling project centered on a completely new kitchen. All work was accomplished under the watchful eye of Dan the lead carpenter who was on the job site every work day.
>
> The planning phase was aided immeasurably by the computer aided design program they used.
>
> All work was accomplished on time on budget and followed up by a through inspection by Criner senior management.
>
> Inevitable small follow up issues were handled expeditiously to our complete satisfaction.
>
> The friendly and helpful attitude of all craftsmen and staff made each day of the job a pleasure
