Ugly tile colors? Purple but the tub is huge (also purple) and tile work is intricate. I need to fix and flip asap and I don't think the bath tile as it stands its survivable. Im thinking I take it all out and go either with all white but keep the design; or gut the entire bathroom to a square shape and start over? The coved ceiling is super cool but as it stands the shower is like a cave. new tub and sink and carrera marble and frameless glass would be my choice. Any thoughts? A: If you want to sell the toilet, I will buy it. I have a bathroom that has good pedestal sink and tub in lavender. My walls, like yours, have to be destroyed. Thanks again. **Q: Help needed for new patio and entrance door!** *(in Design Dilemma)* This is a 100+ yr. old house. We want to replace this deck and door since everyone uses this entrance instead of the main one on the other side of the house. (The white door is the entrance to my parents apartment. We would like something with wider steps, a railing of some sort along the steps and it needs to fit the era of the house. Any pictures would be welcome as we are having trouble imaging how changes would look. The room you see through the sliding glass door is a sun porch with south windows. A: The images others sent are great. The current room looks like an after thought and is not in relation to the home. It just needs columns and detail like the rest of the house so that it looks like it was always there. The brick needs to go. Just a door is not going to pull it together, but I don't think it would be a major project to blend it in. **Q: Living Room Help!** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hello, I have a long living room that needs some help. We have a grand piano, and it defines about a third of the space. There's nowhere else for it to live. The fireplace has a very narrow mantel, and a narrow space above it. I bought a painting for there but didn't like it. I'd like to find a way to use the small tiger painting on the wall. The other things on the mantel don't have to stay. There is a wall outlet behind the antique dog lamp, however. The china cabinet is an antique, as is the drop leaf desk across from the piano. These probably have to stay in the room. What would YOU do?! Thanks! I know I need a rug but the dog ruined the one I had when she was a puppy and I haven't gotten a new one yet. A: I have a similar problem and have found that expanding the space has helped. I tried not to think in terms of clustering around the fireplace as I started and as I see you have done. If you put a rug, use one on the larger size to once again expand the space. Place tall, larger art in place of the all the choppy pictures. Elongate the space vertically with such allusions. It helped me get there! **Q: Matching exterior colors with faded red brick?** *(in Design Dilemma)* We have some faded red brick on the front exterior of our house; which we are not a fan of. We'd like a grayish tone to the entire exterior. What are our options without painting the brick? Is it possible to stain? How can we add some gray hue so it matches the future paint?
