> I worked with Godwin Construction on the full renovation of my 1910 Victorian in Roslindale. I do not think I could have chosen a better contractor. Dan and Paul were always responsive, had great ideas, and employed the best subcontractors! Everything turned out beautifully and the quality of the work was phenomenal. They did everything in the house from renovating existing bathrooms, taking out walls, replacing floors/walls, and building a new master suite. When I had people over who knew more about construction than me, they would go on and on about the quality of the work. It made me feel so proud of my home! I highly recommend these guys for any project - they do great work and keep a sense of humor about it too :-)

> We had a kitchen fire and Godwin Construction helped us rebuild and renovate. Price was reasonable. Team was responsive to our needs. We are very happy with the finished project. Would use them again for sure.

**★★★★★ — Christine Botelho, March 2018**

> My husband and I did a kitchen renovation, including removing a wall and ceiling and moving gas/water lines. Dan and Paul were fantastic to work with. They were both great communicators and kept us informed of timelines and whom to expect at our house on any given day. We felt pricing was definitely reasonable for the amount of work completed and the high quality of the work. I would recommend without hesitation.

**★★★★★ — Mike Barrett, Feb. 2018**

> If you're lucky enough to get these guys look no further ... Paul is a master at his craft and won't disappoint. The quality and craftsmanship of his work is second to none. I'm looking to bring these guys back for an additional project ... so don't wait!

> Godwin Construction was awesome to work with - they delivered an extremely high quality service and product and finished on time. They were very easy to work with from to start to finish. We couldn't be happier with the end result and we have had so many people comment on how amazing our deck and veranda look. We would definitely hire them again for another project and would highly recommend them.

> We used Godwin Construction for a large scale home addition and renovation project. From the beginning concept to the completion of the project, Dan kept us well informed and made many unique suggestions ranging from latest cutting edge materials, to overall design recommendations. His entire team were true professionals, focused on high quality, attention to detail construction. Dan was a constant staple on site, always keeping us well informed on the schedule and any upcoming decisions that had to be made. I can't wait for our next project with Godwin Construction!

**★★★★★ — Peter Dear, March 2017**

> Godwin Construction helped us with a complete kitchen remodel for us. It was an excellent experience from beginning to end. We were engaged at every point of the project. All issues were addressed immediately and always a satisfactory resolution. Knowing that they also had much bigger projects in progress, we never felt like we were not just as important. Dan, Jeff and their entire crew were great people to work with and very professional. We would not hesitate to recommend them for any job - big or small.

> If your looking for the best out there look no more...you found it.
> I highly recommend Godwin Construction for any project big or small.

> We recently completed an outdoor patio/kitchen, which included a covered pavilion and attached pergola. Dan and his team were outstanding from concept phase to completion. There attention to details and quality of construction were top notch. In addition, Dan was always on top of the job, always in contact and accessible as needed. The finished product was better than we could have ever imagined.

> We did a large renovation project in our South End, Boston brownstone. It involved taking the entire common living floor to the studs, raising the ceilings (and adding sound proofing), moving/redoing the kitchen, moving/redoing a half bathroom, and moving the unit's entrance to create a new mudroom. We had worked with a designer to come up with the plan but weren't happy with the contractors we were meeting to execute it, until we met Dan and his foreman Paul. Dan had a laid-back way about him and made me feel like he cared about doing the project right and ensuring that we were thrilled with the end result. And it wasn't just a sales pitch. They did the project right and we were thrilled with the end result. I have had friends with so many nightmare experiences with contractors and I had none of those with Dan. He was a very good communicator, did what he promised, and he and Paul were always available by text and phone when things came up before, during and after the project.
>
> I also can't say enough about our foreman Paul. When you have someone in your home for 3-4 months (which is exactly how long they predicted the project would take), you need to get along and enjoy their presence. We were living in the closed-off bedroom area downstairs, and I would come up to meet with Paul regularly to discuss the progress and work through any hiccups (which any project of this size inevitably has). Paul is a lovely guy, wonderful to talk to, but also a very hard working and pays amazing attention to detail and takes a lot of pride in his work. Many of the subcontractors told me that Paul is one of the most talented people they've seen do finish work, and I would have to agree.
>
> And speaking of those hiccups, I think one is a particularly good example of how they work. The plan called for removing a column, which nobody thought was load-bearing and seemed to only house some pipes. When they took it out, it turned out it was supporting a section of the building's common stairs. Paul immediately discussed some alternatives, also saying that we would figure it out without adding any cost to the project. We considered other columns, which really was a detriment to the open look we were going for, and Paul and the framers were able to support the stairs without the need for a column. So they seamlessly dealt with an issue that, as many surprises do in the midst of construction, felt significant.
>
> All of the subs Dan brought in were also great. Extremely friendly, respectful of our home, and they did great work. I had extensive interactions in particular with the electrician, the plumber and the painters and they were terrific.
>
> Dan's pricing was fair, and I particularly appreciated that he wasn't trying to make money off of the project (i.e. me) at every turn, which is what I found with the other contractors we'd talked to. If Dan was able to get a discount from certain suppliers, he passed that discount along to us and was also happy to have us work with the suppliers directly. (I'm a bit of a control freak in that way.) In the end, the cost of the project was what Dan had quoted, with the only additions being things that I'd ask them to do that weren't part of the initial plans.
>
> The project finished over the summer so we've had a few months to live in the results. There's little I'd have done differently, and I've continued to be extremely happy with the work Godwin Construction did. I would recommend them to anyone (and already have, on at least two projects).

> Dan and his team were great to work with. We did a major kitchen renovation, and the finished project looks amazing. He was easy to reach when I had questions and always provided good advice. I
> would highly recommend him and hope to work with him again on our next home project.

**★★★★★ — Dan Busa, May 2016**

> Dan Godwin Construction built us a state of the art basement bathroom in our home in Mashpee. From initial design to finish, Dan and his crew were on time and on budget. Absolutely beautiful results.
