I’m debating on what colour to paint the master bedroom of my new house... I found a gorgeous colour called Inchyra Blue by Farrow and Ball ( see photo) but I don’t know whether to have an accent wall or paint the whole room dark. It’s a house in England (not sure if this is a US forum!) about 100 years old. The room measures about 6m by 4m (18’ x 12.5’) with a big original lead-lined glass bay window. It’s a north facing room and in winter the city I live in is pretty grey and dreary. There’s nothing blocking the window outside so plenty of natural light comes in, but north light. Ive picked out my new furniture (But not bought) which will be quite light, off white, and the carpet will be light. The ceiling and skirting board will be pure white. Pictures attached of what the room looked like when it was furnished by the previous owners (photo taken in summer by estate agent) and photo of what it looks like empty (photo taken in winter by me). What do you guys think? Never painted a room dark before! I know I could just repaint but i don’t want to waste my money on expensive paint. thanks everyone!
