The downfalls I encountered had to do with the length of time it took to complete the project, and the planting portion of the work. The company got very busy during our project and work became sporadic. Part of this I believe is because they are based on the other side of the state and weren't over here for the entire work week. I think the other reason is because they were spread too thin and had to work on other jobs before ours was complete. As a result, they were rushed in the end and did the plantings without any discussion about what I wanted. After months of going back and forth, they have refunded a portion of the cost for the plants that I did not like. I had to purchase plants I liked and I installed the new plantings myself to get it to my liking. Alderwood people are coming back soon to re-do the bark topping since I've replanted, to pressure wash the patio so they can finally sand the pavers, and also to re-do the sod, which didn't take well in many spots.
