A friend of ours recommended them and we included them in the selection/bidding process. The communication from the start was superior to all other builders and pricing was also the most competitive. We finished the house on time and on budget, which is somewhat unheard in this market, and we love the finished product. Kathy is very patient and very well organised, and Ted is very knowledgeable and straight forward about everything in construction business. All the subs they employee are great individuals and very accommodating. We had to deal with the bad neighbours, the painful city of Chicago, and other issues which are common for this type of project. I cannot imagine how we would have done it with anyone else. Kathy and Ted were always patient and found a solution. In addition, the suppliers they select are superior and punctual. I would recommend ACHB to anyone looking to build in the city or the suburbs. **★★★★★ — PJ Naughton, Dec. 2016** > Ted & Kathy we're just great to work with. They built a pergola on my back deck and it came out beautiful. They were onsite sometimes twice a day and were extremely responsive. They both have a great eye for detail and brought so much value and experience to the project. Their cost was most competitive and the project was finished on time. They are just enjoyable people to work with. I have already recommend to several of my friends. ## Selected projects - [Custom Home Project • Highland Park, IL](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-home-project-highland-park-il-pj-vj~2058465) - Location: Highland Park, IL - Photos: 26 - Description: America's Custom Home Builders is your source for Home Improvement, New Custom Home Construction, Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling, and a variety of Home Repair Services.
