I would like to have a curbless shower, but would I have to do a special sloping of the floor in order to do so? A: Hi Edith- this would be a question best answered by your contractor, but my understanding is that yes, there would need to be a bit of a slope, to keep the rest of the bathroom floor dry. This can usually be done fairly easily if you're taking the existing fixtures out, as they just build up the sub-floor, and add small or mosaic tile to accommodate the slope. **Q: What type of wood and color are these cabinets?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: I'm sorry I don't have the information on the manufacturer, but they're cherry cabinets in a shaker style, full overlay doors and drawers. Hope that's helpful. **Q: Kitchen Makeover** *(in Design Dilemma)* Updated 90s kitchen. Kept footprint and existing appliances. New floor, counters, lighting backsplash, floating shelves, fixture and hardware. Any critiques or comments greatly appreciated. Thanks A: I love what you've done! Would you consider a medium gray on the walls, like Benjamin Moore's Dorain Gray? That would really make the cabinets and woodwork stand out. Lovely backsplash, too! **Q: Like the stone that the bar is made of. can you tell me what it pleas** *(in Photo Questions)* A: So glad you like it! It's called Virginia dry stack stone. I love the variation of colors- and in person, there is a lot of reflective mica in some of the pieces. It's just lovely! **Q: what color granite are the counters?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: This granite is called Volga Blue. It is mostly a gray/black, with areas of beautiful layers of iridescent blue, almost like an opal. **Q: Is the towel that is attached to the shower custom?** *(in Photo Questions)* We need ideas on where to place towel bars or rings. Thank you. A: I agree- I love the look of three hooks in a row.
