We did a whole remodel of a 1930's home. At the beginning of the project she was invaluable at planning my new dream kitchen. She spent many hours with me doing revisions. She was always very patient and very professional. She listened to what I wanted and then did her best to accomplish that. At times there were issues but she was always willing and ready to do whatever was necessary to please us and keep the project moving. One example would be the time we had the people here to hook up our new range and we did not have the necessary parts to change it to propane as we had been told. So Lauren got those parts and drove them 45 minutes to us so work could continue. Was thinking of doing the toilet & matching pedestal sink in my all white powder room A: Hello, thanks for the question. For this bathroom, the gray fixtures worked really well. I'm not the homeowner so I can't speak to if they are still liked, though the last time I spoke to her she was still very happy with them. It measures about 4' x 5' and there's no window. The toilet and pedestal sink are white. There's 4" baseboard moulding and 3" crown moulding, and the ceiling is 8'. The room is situated just off the front hallway of my home. The hallway and adjacent rooms are light gray/greige (BM Glacial Till lightened by 25%). Furnishings in the adjacent rooms are rust/terra cotta, and dark gray, with black and rust accents and small "pops" of turquoise here and there. Wainscoting surrounding the fireplace in the room closest to the hallway is an off-white (BM Albescent). What color should I paint the powder room? Thanks! A: I agree with Maureen, powder rooms are a great place to have some fun or go dramatic. Choose a color you love and go with it.
