> My husband, David, and I decided to remodel our kitchen of over 35 years. The house was built in 1978 and we bought it in 1981. The kitchen had been painted a few times and we installed a couple of floors and appliances but nothing major...still had the original stove!

We got new floors, tile, countertop, stove and refrigerator, sink, paint, cookbook bookcase, and lighting. The cabinets were repainted and new hardware was added. One section of cabinets was taken out to open up the kitchen. She also updated our pantry. Her contractors were excellent and did great work. This was all within our budget.

She validated some of my selections and redirected some others, and I'm very happy with both the process and the end result. Painting the entire condo, which has some very high ceilings, was a pricey proposition, so investing in a few hours of Meri-Kay's time and expertise ensured that I made a good investment. She has always been sensitive to my needs and desires and far as what I wanted to do to decorate and improve my house.  She has provided these services in three homes. She has always been very professional and responsive.  All of the people she has recommended have been top notch.  She has arranged for everything from changing the locks on a new house to refinishing the floors, painting the interior and exterior, electrical, and windows.  She has assisted in all aspects of design and furnishing of my houses.  She has even designed beautiful custom furniture and found incredible craftsmen at very good rates.  I think the only thing I have not asked her to do is help with landscaping and that is only because I did not ask.

Her "eco-conscious" approach is refreshing as she has a real talent for  complementing existing pieces with new additions to produce a very attractive, updated look without a complete re-do.  She is very much at ease providing options from which we choose or guiding us on smaller purchases we've pursued on our own.  Because she has such a knack for simplifying the design process and because we have been so pleased with how she has helped us transition into a new look, we intend to seek out Meri-Kay's talents on a regular basis.

> After 30 years of trying to reach a meeting of the minds in our respective tastes in decorating, we recently engaged Meri-Kay Star to assist us.  After listening to our viewpoints, Meri-Kay was able to put together a design for our home that was really pleasing.  She has a great eye for pairing disparate objects as well as selecting colors.  She incorporated most of our furniture and furnishings in the design, many times by just changing their locations and adding accent pieces.  Meri-Kay's contractors were experienced, careful and it was obvious to us they respected her talents.  Remodeling is never easy, but Meri-Kay really made it much easier for us.

A: I am sorry to tell you but this is a powder bath vanity . No one can sit around it . It is approximately 4 feet long . Hope this answers your question .

A: You could do two twin beds along 2 walls with a table in the corner making an L shape . This one pictured is a full size bed , not a twin .
