The problem is it arrived damaged and the company is essentially saying it isn’t their problem. Doing a bathroom remodel is not cheap, and if you are like me you work hard and save your money in order to be able to do it. You can’t help but want to at least start out with a nice, new, perfect bathroom after investing so much. > > After I placed my order they sent me a detailed list of what to do when the package arrived. It was very thoughtful and organized and gave me a false sense of security that should it arrive damaged they were prepared to deal with it. I followed their instructions exactly (see attached photos of box delivered and damage). > > The company’s response to the damage is we’ll send you some wood putty and paint and either you can hire someone to fix it or do it yourself, but trust us, it will look like new; and we will give you $50 for your trouble. I literally thought the $50 was a typo. I wrote back and told them that $50 does not make up for the damage so they upped it to $100 and would go no further unless I get an estimate from someone. If the estimate is more than $100 then maybe they will refund it. They are very nice and tell you this like it is the most reasonable and fair thing in the world but here is what they are really telling you… > > The best we might do is reimburse you for having it fixed (although it will never look like new because seriously how can wood putty recreate the edges on a newly cut piece of wood?). But you need to spend your time to find someone to fix it (because obviously if you even want to get close to it looking as good as new you will need to find a very skilled craftsman), and you will need to take off work to meet with them to look at it to be able to give us an estimate. You then need to follow up and get that estimate from them and send it to us and we may or may not agree to the cost. If we do, you then need to take off work again to let them in to your house and unless they are someone you know and trust, you need to take off even more time and stay with them until they finish. So ultimately, sure you might get a repaired vanity close to looking new, but you will not even break even— it’s going to cost you more than the original price of the vanity and your vanity will never be brand new. > > I had high hopes for this company and besides their product looking so nice, they market themselves as a family owned business. I visited the showroom to view their as-is selection of vanities. They had a fantastic selection - all sizes, designs and colors. It was hard to make a choice! Kimberly assisted me with my selections and helped me pick the perfect vanity (I went with the 48 inch Elizabeth, white and carrara option). When selecting a backsplash piece, I made my selection and went to pay for everything, a gentleman (perhaps the owner?), brought me back out to show me that there was a VERY small imperfection. He then brought out several options for me to choose from and when I said I liked the one with the imperfection, he said it could be filled in with wax and I wouldn't see it. I watched as they used the wax and the small flaw went away. I appreciated the honesty with which they handle their business. They truly want their customers to be happy!
