> I love my new plantation shutters! Barry was wonderful to work with and Gotcha Covered has so many options to choose from. Barry is very helpful in explaining each of the choices I selected, ultimately helping me to be very happy with my shutters. He keeps you informed throughout the process and pays attention to details. I'm not finished with my window treatments and will be giving Barry a call in the future!

**Comment from Gotcha Covered of Colorado Springs:**

> Tamyra, working with you was a real treat! The shutters look fantastic, but the best part of the job for me was experiencing the passion you have for fostering animals. I felt honored to be a tiny part of their rehabilitation! Please stay in touch!

My order came in early, and Barry and his installers got everything installed quickly! I'm very happy with the product quality, value and professional service provided by Gotcha Covered and I will recommend them to my friends and clients.

> Lisa and Barry from Gotcha Covered did a great job for me. I had ordered my blinds through the old owner and when one of the blinds broke that was still under warranty I called him. I found out he no longer owned the business but Lisa and Barry did. I contacted them right away and they helped me get the blind replaced in a timely manner. They are very helpful and easy to work with. I really appreciated them honoring the previous Gotcha Covered clients as well as making it super easy.

**Comment from Gotcha Covered of Colorado Springs:**

I HIGHLY recommend them for all window and door coverings!!!!

**Comment from Gotcha Covered of Colorado Springs:**

> Thanks for the kinds words, Karen. You and Dave were great to work with and those Alta honeycomb vertical shades look great on your patio doors! I love that they collapse into such a small space and give you unobstructed views. Please let us know if we can ever help further!

> Bill Bagby with Gotcha Covered was always available when we called. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. He was there to answer any questions and issues that would come up. He did an excellent job and we would hire him again if we had another job. Bill did all of our window coverings, as well as move some shutters that were in the home to another window for us.

> I have used Gotcha Covered three times in the last six months. Bill was on time, professional and he asked good questions to understand my needs and then offered suggestions to meet them. Gotcha Covered was reasonably priced. The material quality and install workmanship are very good. I will hire this company again.

> Bill responded to my calls quickly when I left a voice message. He was very friendly and chatted a bit during the install but at the same time was focused on his job and got it done quickly. We had to replace a faulty piece where the cord connects and he responded quickly.

> Bill sells a great product. He came to our home and measured the windows and returned to install the product at various times because the product did not arrive all at once. Overall, he was timely and affordable. I would definitely use him again. My neighbor also used this company and had some product quality issues. Bill quickly responded and repaired/replaced the defective blinds.

**★★★★★ — msllady, Feb. 2015**

> Bill was very professional and not a pushy salesman. I knew what I wanted and he had just the thing; he did not try to talk me into something more expensive. He got things ordered and installed quickly and easily. I will definitely call on him again when I need blinds. I'm still enjoying my blinds a year later!

> Bill is a top notch choice for window coverings! He helped us choose window coverings for several large and difficult windows in our new home. We have an arch top window with a spectacular view that we didn't want obstructed in any way, so Bill researched and found the PERFECT solution for the window! He installed six remote operated roller shades in our great room and we receive so many compliments on them. They are solar charged so we never have to get out a ladder to change the batteries, which is important since the windows are 18 feet high! It's important to note that this solar charged shade wasn't even offered by one of the larger window treatment companies here in town...they'd never even heard of it! Bill is very professional and offers good advice when needed, but also lets you take charge and isn't pushy at all. When the window treatments arrive (which is very quickly) he comes to install them. I've recommended Bill to so many people in my neighborhood and they have great things to say also. I'll definitely be contacting Bill again in the future for more window coverings!

> We were very please with the service and the product that Mr. Bagby provided. I had three estimates from other companies and his price was by far the best. I was able to have blinds installed in my entire home. We've had many compliments on them.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is this window treatment?** *(in Photo Questions)*

It's natural. Simple and sweet

A: It may also be a solar shade material that was used to make a roman shade.

**Q: What is this window treatment?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love it!

A: In another post, I stated that it looked like a woven wood or solar shade material roman shade. In looking at this photo with the larger window, I'd say it's a fabric roman shade due to the way the material is gathered at the bottom. These types of roman shades (as well as the woven wood and solar shade fabric roman shades) can be made with a top-down/bottom-up feature to allow more privacy and light control options.

**Q: Hunter Douglas roller shade openness factor?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Does anyone have any advice on preferred Hunter Douglas roller shade (off white) openness factor? I want to allow a lot of light into the home, but still have some privacy. I'm not sure which to choose, 3% or 5%. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with roller shade openness factor percentage? I'm not sure which way to go. Would be great if someone shared some pics of roller shade and it's openness factor %.

A: In terms of how much light enters the room,, if the fabric is a lighter color, not really. If the fabric is a darker coler, the 5% will let in more light, but not drastically more. The bigger difference will be in how much you'll be able to see outside during the day and how much privacy they will provide at night. Even with this, shade color makes a difference. Darker colored materials allow a more defined view than lighter colored materials with the same openness factor (see image).

**Q: Very noisy street...** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi, I live on a very noisy street and I'm trying to find ways to reduce the noise in my office, which is located at the front of the house, where the noisy street is... Any ideas to help reduce the traffic noise? Thanks!

A: Cellular shades, or curtains.

**Q: what is the fabric of blinds?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: These have a "natural" also known as "woven wood" fabric. They are constructed with organic, renewable materials such as grasses, bamboo, jute and other wood combinations. They are typically used for roman shades, draperies and sliding panels. Optional light-filtering and blackout liners add privacy and light control.
