**★★★★★ — Margot Hartford Photography, May 2015**

> Every project I have seen painted by Elan has been a little piece of magic. I can tell that she uses patience and craftsmanship to transform any space, sometimes small and otherwise unnoticed rooms in the house (think powder room!), into another world.
>
> Her designs can be beautiful, whimsical, bold, dramatic, or ethereal, but they are always perfectly executed. I would not hesitate to recommend Elan for any faux or decorative paint project.

**★★★★★ — Jane Richardson Mack, April 2015**

> Elan Evans created what amounts to a "Star" ceiling for my Wine Cellar in the SF Decorators Showcase. Although it looks more like many suns! Gold metallic circles don't do it justice as a description. Not one person had entered this room without exclaiming, "I LOVE the ceiling!" she is a wizard with paint, paper and good vibes all the way. I highly recommend her for creativity, talent and professionalism, she is a rare gem!

**★★★★★ — Butler Armsden Architects, April 2015**

> Elan is a fantastically talented and easy going personality. We used her for some faux painting to blend and extend board formed concrete to where there was none. When she was done, we could not even tell where she had worked!
>
> Her custom wallpapers and decorative painting skills are incredible, and I highly recommend her to anyone who needs the highest level of craft.
>
> Thank you Elan!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Dining room** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me where to get the chandelier?

A: I'm sorry I can"t , we only provided the
painted finishes and wallcoverings for the space. Julie Rootes, of Julie Rootes Interiors was the designer of
that room, and would have that information.

**Q: What is the wall finish technique?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I see the completed result was a process of layering. What kind of technique and paint gives the swirl/circle & opal sheen for the second layer? Then, how was the stenciling overlay accomplished? I only see the larger stencil design pattern on the wall. (referring to the stencil samples that were taped on the wall in a before pic.) Is the stencil layer actually a stencil / laser cut wallpaper? or ... did you have to move the stencil as you went ? The wall 'appears ' as if it has a raised wallpaper texture , but then blended in with the final top coat of paint. However, I can't tell. If not , the stenciling would have been tedious. It's gorgeous! The walls are subtle and elegant ,yet have such depth and texture.

A: Thank you for all the lovely complements. The die cut wallpaper is something I'm developing, just perplexed as to the packaging and marketing, it seems to require a lot of explaining. I'm very glad that you could see the texture in the photo, that's half the battle! And then, I wonder If I should just paste them up on panels and sell them as art, no explaining necessary....
Mr.Clean Magic Erasers!? Don't know what I did without them. Just gave a box to a contractor I was working with and told him to always have them in his job box!

**Q: Curtains** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where to purchase

A: We only provided painted finishes for this room. The designer, Tineke Triggs at Artistic Designs for Living should be able to answer your question.

**Q: Curtains** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me where the curtains are from?

A: I'm sorry I can"t , we only provided the painted finishes and wallcoverings for the space. I believe they were custom made. Julie Rootes, of Julie Rootes Interiors was the designer of that room, and would have that information.

**Q: Light fixture please** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I provided painted finishes only for this room, and was not involved in sourcing the fixtures. You can find the designer, Cecelie Starin on Houzz, and I'm sure she would have the answer.

**Q: Interested in both the light fixture and painting.** *(in Photo Questions)*

Will you please share info on where they can be found? Thanks!

A: I just painted the wall covering for the ceiling and was not really involved in sourcing the rest of the items in the room. If you contact the designer, Candace Barnes, I'm sure she can be of assistance.
