My Husband and I purchased a small home in San Diego County California while residing in Pennsylvania. We wanted to remodel the older California home prior to moving in and needed an experienced Architect to help us achieve an Open Concept living space. We contracted with Juneau Architects to assist us with the structural design and permit process. > The structural challenge was to remove the kitchen walls and raise the ceiling to meet the adjoining vaulted ceilings of the living and dining areas, opening the space for living, dining and cooking. > Andrew was very knowledgeable with construction methods and quickly came up with a solution to meet the challenges of removing the existing Shear walls. The Structural Engineer confirmed Andrew's solution and proceeded with the necessary structural calculations and methods to be performed during construction. Both Andrew and the Structural Engineer provided the necessary Plans for permit that passed with no issues. We were very happy with Andrew Juneau and the process we went through to get our remodel started. The architectural services provided were met within our tight timeline and came in under budget, deserving a five star review.
