We spent countless hours designing and picking out tile, windows, etc. We paid for our overages from budgeted items along the way. We were told 3 weeks before home was contracted to be completed, that the price of the house (if you take out land price) had nearly doubled. We had never been told anything was over budget and had even put in a clause for the overage in lumber for $25,000 if needed. I understand that with Covid there were delays and price increases but the lack of communication and rudeness that we received from Dave Johnson is reprehensible. We did not get our house, lost our land, and were treated terribly. > > We later talked to several, reputable builders who stated that there were price increases up to 25% but not near the level that we were told affected our build. > > I know that I am not a satisfied customer due to not getting our home and spending 18 months in an apartment with hopes to move into our dream home, but even if I put that aside and try to be objective, I cannot recommend this company. The build site was filthy with food and trash all over the home. He did not communicate when we called or texted and acted annoyed if we asked about the delays.
