> Allie has worked with us for two years on the total renovation of a 1953 house. In the early parts of the project, when we were overwhelmed with newly blank space and too many possibilities, she drew on her experience from televised home makeover shows to direct us. She helped us conceive of a one-of-a-kind fireplace to turn an old red brick monstrosity into an art piece. She offered the contractor/designer ways to modify his work to create unique spaces in an overly-large room that threatened to become a "bowling alley." She drew the lighting plan for the entire house and secured fixtures that went way beyond the ordinary. She gave me color when I was craving it in an otherwise neutral palette. She worked with suppliers that were off the beaten path. She instinctively understood our budgetary priorities and found an array of products across the cost spectrum, balancing amazing deals with more expensive items in accordance with our taste and needs. Sometimes she acted as mediator between me and my husband and among all the other work streams. Allie's style is the opposite of pushy or controlling. I am sure she would be perfectly happy to just takeover if that is what the client wants, but in a case like ours where we wanted to be involved, she is very collaborative even as she states opinions that differ from ours. This has been a very satisfying process, with outstanding results.

**Comment from Wilmoth Interiors, LLC:**

> Thank you so much! You both have been amazing to work with and I have really enjoyed the collaborative process with you.

**★★★★★ — Morgan Hall, Dec. 2022**

> Allie is amazing! She’s not only extremely knowledgeable about interior design, but she also really listens to you and can make any space incredible. I recently sold my home, and the thought of staging it for pictures was extremely daunting. She came in one afternoon and had it camera ready within hours! I cried when I saw the final pictures! My house had never looked so good! She’s currently helping me design and decorate my new house and has already made it feel like home for my family. I highly recommend her for any of your design needs! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

**Comment from Wilmoth Interiors, LLC:**

> Thank you Morgan for your kind review. I am thrilled to hear you are happy with our work and I look forward to completing your projects.

**★★★★★ — Lisa Landi, Feb. 2018**

> Allie has been a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend her. She came to our house in December just before the holidays and had our room design for us just after the holidays. We went furniture shopping the end of January. And viola we have a new great room by the end of February. We love it! We will be using her services to help us do the rest of our house.

**Comment from Wilmoth Interiors, LLC:**

> Thank you, Lisa, for taking the time to leave such kind words. It has been such a joy to work with you and I am very excited to see your space come together. I look forward to continuing to work with you.

> We always have a wonderful experience when working with Allie. Her creativity and attention to detail shine through every project she's worked on for us. She proved invaluable in providing decorating consultation following a move into a fixer-upper, and she recently took on a large project for us: the design of an in-law addition. She continues to please. She is very patient and quickly picks up on and adapts to the needs/desires of her clients.

**Comment from Wilmoth Interiors, LLC:**

> Kelly, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. I love working with you and always enjoy the chance to work on a new design challenge. I am excited to continue working with you in the future.

> Allie was a pleasure to work with. She had great ideas and knows the industry well. She had good suggestions on quality painters and furniture stores. She helped us incorporate a lot of our existing furniture in new ideas around the house. I really liked how she helped us incorporate kid art into the design our of house in a very tasteful way. She did not pressure us into any expensive purchases. I would highly recommend her.

**Comment from Wilmoth Interiors, LLC:**

> Tina,

## Community Q&A

**Q: Kitchen cabinets pull finish advice needed!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are going with IKEA Bodbyn grey cabinets and have pretty much decided on Cambria "Ella" quartz for countertops. We have hardwood floors that are warm toned. Our appliances are stainless steel. We are going with a hexagon marble mosaic backsplash that is mostly white, with some pale grey and off-white. My struggle is with the cabinet pulls/knobs. I had decided on either gold or champagne. My husband and installer think it's a big mistake and that we should go with silver/stainless steel. I’d love to hear other opinions

A: I love the champagne finish.

**Q: curtains and radiators** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I have curtains that are long enough to reach the floor. The window is almost wall length with only about 4-6 " wall area above and below it and it is 122" wide. Under the window there is an electric radiator....one of those long heaters.
Since we will now be using the electric heat, should I hang the curtains so that they are above the radiaor. It may look odd but I want to be safe. I need the sunlight to shine in during the day. The curtains will be open in the daytime so no problem there but they need to be closed at night for privacy. Just not sure having the bottom above the heater is a good look. Maybe I should just go w/o any drapery. Maybe I should add some kind of shades that let you see out but people can't see in. Maybe I should do those window coatings. What are your thoughts?

A: I agree please post a picture so we may make better suggestions. Also, I think Roman shades may be a good solution but it depends on your space.

**Q: fireplace in great room in 4 level split** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Any ideas on how to update this fireplace/ great room?
Thanks!

A: I love the stair rail and would suggest painting it. Also, I would white wash the brick and keep the existing mantel. Change the wall sconces and fireplace insert for something more modern. Paint the walls a light grey. I would also suggest a big piece of canvas art that has a geometric print, something modern to highlight the deco feel of the railing.
