> I had generations put a new metal roof on the main part of my house in 2017. The plan was to match the new roof to the existing metal roof on a newer addition. The quality work was done promptly and professionally. Years later my home was hit by a straight line thunderstorm that snapped utility poles and lifted the metal roofs causing leakage damage to my home. Ricky Sprague sent someone to repair the roof damage to both the new roof and the existing roof that he had not even installed. I highly recommend Generations not only for their great installation work but for their excellent post installation support.

**★★★★★ — Rachel Jones, March 2026**

> We hired GCH to build our forever home, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. From start to finish, everyone we worked with was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. They made the process smooth and manageable, and we always felt supported along the way. We're grateful for their work and would recommend them to anyone looking to build.

> Generations Custom Homes came to my rescue at a very dark time. I moved from Mount Desert to Seattle in Jan 2025 to be closer to family, given fact that all my family was on the west coast and that I was alone (I am a widow) on the east coast. I needed to get my house on the island ready for sale and knew that the decks needed some major repairs. Based on the recommendations of a realtor, I hired a carpenter to renovate my decks (very large wrap around deck, small kitchen deck, large front deck) long distance. He, unfortunately, turned out to be unscrupulous, lied about the progress he was making, and made a total hash out of the section he had torn up and supposedly rebuilt. I rushed home from Seattle, fired him, and then made several calls to reputable companies and carpenters to see if anyone could take on the work (difficult, given that it was summer). Ricky Sprague, the owner, once he heard my tale of woe, was enormously kind and took the work on, despite being very busy. On inspection, we realized that the decks were in worse shape than I had thought and needed to be rebuilt from the ground up. Ricky was very fair and honest with estimates and worked with me to redesign the decks so as to keep costs down. He promised to get the work started in August so I could see part of the work before having to return to Seattle. He was extraordinary responsive to texts or emails (even on the weekends). He sent around a wonderful crew headed by a master carpenter who was extremely skilled. They did not waste time, showed up early in the morning and often worked until 5 or 6 pm, leaving the site tidy and clean. They worked fast and efficiently. Ricky was true to his word- he got all the decks completely rebuilt, despite discovering more rot in the posts and some other setbacks, within two months. The work passed inspection and he sent me some wonderful photos of the finished decks- they look beautiful! It was a pleasure to work with someone who cared deeply about the quality of the work done by his people and about his workers and who kept his promises to an elderly and very anxious widow. I will be forever grateful to Ricky and to Bo and Jameson, the crew who worked on the house. I cannot recommend Generations Custom Homes highly enough.
