Working with individual home and business owners Magnolia Interiors discovers and introduces a combination of your style along with tried and true design principles to make your vision a reality.   Renovations are my favorite and making homes reflect the owners is my passion. I enjoy making a professional space tailored to your industry whether its modern or traditional, this is always an exciting challenge.
I have had the privilege to work with a broad variety of clients from luxury hotels to dog resorts, from young first time homeowners to retirees looking for a forever home.  I love a challenge and look forward to meeting new people along the way.  To me, life is a journey and those I meet along the way always enrich or teach me something.
I began working in the design world after a friend asked if I could make drapes for her.  My love of fabric had always been evident but I had no idea it would lead me back to school for a second degree and a career that I absolutely love.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Need Major Kitchen Backsplash Help!!!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I have these honey color kitchen cabinets and light terracotta floor. I need a backsplash idea. I was initially thinking of a variegated slate subway in a field size b/c I am afraid that a lighter color tile will make the cabinets more pronounced. I was thinking of going in the sage direction for the walls with a grasscloth. Thoughts? Comments? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A: I like the idea above for the subway tile and the glass tile, but in a buff or linen color.  I think it would look tailored and classic and would not go out of style when we all look back on glass tile and go 'wow, remember doing that in the early 2000's'.  I also like the idea of artwork and lighting being the jewelry of this room.  Look for unusual pieces that you like and make you smile everytime you enter the room.  You could easily convert the pot light over the sink to a pendant with some pizazz.  Great cabinets, love the solid style.
