> If we could write 0 star, we would. We have attempted to contact Western Window customer support at least 10 times. We left voicemails and emails 8 times. We spent approximately $ 50,000 on windows with them a few years ago, so all the windows are still under warranty. One of the windows experienced a malfunctioning "window operator" and will no longer open or close using the handle. Despite being tight and not stripped at the handle, the internal gears appear to spin freely. Western has zero customer support, and their installer doesn't seem to care either. If you're considering spending money on windows, consider going elsewhere.

> I have a new home with a 5 panel Western 9500 series bi fold. The window/door looks great when closed or open. My big problem is the single swing door will not open without dragging on the bottom. The jambs, threshold and header are all plumb and level. There needs to be better adjustment than through 1 screw with a plastic bracket. I have had this door for over a year and I barely open it because its so difficult to get the swing door open. Don't waste your time and money, there are better doors on the market.

> From day one, my doors would not close properly. When the doors were delivered to my house and were being installed they were labeled incorrectly and I am convinced this is part of the problem. Door A, would not attach to Door B, would not attach to C, etc... The approved installer had to rearrange the doors and my doors were installed in order for B.C,D,A. As a result they never close, don't lock and every 6 weeks they need to be adjusted. These doors are terrible. Even worse though is their customer service. Today I received an email stating that "there is nothing else we can do. If you would like to buy new doors, we can give you a discount."

**★ — house, Nov. 2023**

> The absolute WORST customer service. We purchased and installed 20' wall system and a 24' wall system. One of the panels in the 20' wall system spontaneously broke. I called Western for help and they said basically "yeah find a contractor on our website and they can order a new one. we don't warranty and we can't help." So I had to call vendors in my area and finally found one willing to do it. SEVEN THOUSAND dollars and 2 months shipping time later they installed the new panel and Western had not shipped a crucial part so there is air blowing in between the panels. ANOTHER TWO MONTHS LATER I am still waiting on the part from Western.

> If I could change anything in my remodel it would be buying these Godforsaken window systems from Western Windows.
>
> DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

> I would not recommend this company at all. Around September 2017, we had about $65000 of doors and windows installed by Fusion Windows a dealer for Western Windows at that time. After 2 years the lock on one of the swing door broke. Fusion was not a dealer for Western so they did even answer my calls. So spoke to Western Windows and they very promptly sent me the wrong locks and when their installer came they charged me $125. And could not do anything since the locks were incorrect. After that the installer told me that they will communicate directly with Western Windows, because they are familiar with the product. To the day nothing has happened about the broken lock. And to add insult to injury. One of the glass door exploded by itself. I have called up Western Windows twice today. And the saga continues.

> I wish there was a 0 stars cause that's what I'd select!
>
> Our son and dil bought a Western bi-fold door 2 years ago and installation of it was a problem. However, after several months, the problems were finally resolved. Their door is really pretty and they love it.
>
> We built a home on their property and decided to put a Western bi-fold door in it as well. What a nightmare!
>
> It's been 6 months and we still do not have a working door! The door won't lock!!!!! The one and only time it did lock, we couldn't get it unlocked!
>
> The frame has been replaced at least once! And, we've had at least 5 groups of people out here working on it. 2x they were supposed to bring a Western rep with them! That never happened! No matter what they tried, the thing won't lock or close properly!
>
> Compounding the problem is since the door isn't installed yet, the contractors can't finish the tile, paint, moulding, trim, etc.
>
> Now, they keep wanted to refer us to a salesperson and they keep calling it a warranty issue! Warranty issue -- hello? The thing hasn't even been installed yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

> The absolute worst experience and company we've ever dealt with and we are now on the 4th attempt for Western Doors to get them right. You cannot speak to a human being via phone. You can only email, and that's our contractor!!!!!! No sense of urgency from anyone. It takes about 3 weeks to a month to get the next set, which for us is completely wrong. I'm not exagerating when I tell you it's the 4th time and they have delayed our new construction over 4 months!!!!! The pain, turmoil, anger and expense Western Doors has caused us is hard to imagine unless you go through the nightmare. STAY AWAY!!!!!! HORRIBLE!!!! If they are wrong again, we are done and will have to temporarily seal our house and reorder through another company and of course, you can't get anything right now in less than 4 months. I hate Western Doors for ruining our lives!

> We are remodeling our house and these doors have been a nightmare. We ordered a 4 panel folding door, a 3 panel sliding and two basic sliding doors. They have been sent completely wrong TWICE. Every single door, FOUR out of FOUR. They are sending a third time and have zero sense of urgency to get them to us. Won’t even ship for 10days, if it even happens. The customer service is absolutely ridiculous. This is the FINAL time we will put up with this. If these are sent wrong a third time, we’re done. Our builder will have to find another company. There are so many companies that produce these doors so they really should care. Plenary of other options out there. Avoid this company at all costs. These incorrect doors have delayed our project more than three months and everything is stalled. We can’t move in due to security. We are paying thousands of dollars on rent and storage units all because of Western Doors inadequacies. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go out of business eventually (or get sued) due to all these issues. It’s seems to be the way they do business. No customer service or ethnics. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!

> DO NOT PURCHASE THESE DOORS IF YOU LIVE IN AREA THAT GETS ANY RAIN!!! We are purchased 2 sets for a new construction project. The first is installed in an area that has an overhang where water has no way of finding its way. However the multi slide (which was installed correctly) has water sipping through the bottom of the door every time it rains heavily. We have ruined the floors in two occasions. This company and these doors are an absolute disaster. We spent 25K on a door that leaks every time there are heavy rains, not to mention the fact that they sent us screens that are in the wrong direction, they replaced them after 2 months and sent us a new set of bad screens. STAY AWAY!!!!!

> I would like to commend Western Windows on their warranty servicing of the windows/doors they installed in my new home approximately two years ago. I recently called them about a door with a malfunctioning lock which concerned me because it presented a security issue. A technician came out right away on a Saturday and fixed the broken lock and checked the rest of the doors to ensure they were functioning properly. Not only are my doors and windows stunning but Western stands behind them all the way. Thank you Western!

**★ — plwells22, Sept. 2020**

> We have a Western Wall System built into our new build. The door does not function as it should. There is cracking in the drywall around the door, the door does not close flush, there is waving in the track of the door after the first year. I have reach out to Western Wall and they told me that "this sometimes happens with the doors, you have to just live with it." This is not the level of care or confidence that I would expect in doors of this price. I have reached out to Western Wall repeatedly and they do not respond to the warranty claims.

**Comment from Western Window Systems:**

> We just moved into a new house with Western Windows throughout. They are installed correctly, but we are having a terrible time closing the locks and opening the awning-style windows. We haven't heard back from the dealer and Western isn't answering the phones.

**Comment from Western Window Systems:**

> Hi Heather, We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble connecting with your dealer. Can you send us your contact information so that we can reach out to you?
