Bruce, her partner is a multi-dimensional designer who does the 3D design Master Plans. Their complimentary talents mesh well and together they create amazing holistic spaces. They have developed a special system called C.A.T.S. (color, artwork, texture and shape). Crimea has better weather than Moscow, correct? My mother's family is from the Ukraine. My great grandma emigrated to Canada and then the family made their way to NY State. I'm a designer, not a supplier, but I would think that yes, maybe someone could make a go of selling nice pots in Russia. But shipping from Mexico could be cost prohibitive. These pots are called Talavera and are fragile, mostly being soft fired. Talavera style pots look like the decorated Ukrainian eggs (which I made when I was younger). Talavera will crack in the cold. The best pots are hard fired, with thick walls and can be left out in the cold. The top quality pots are made in Vietnam and the second best are made in China. Thank you!** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Dwarf Firebush- This delightful shrub blooms on and off all year - more during warmer weather - and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds to its brightly-colored, tubular flowers. It has a light and airy charm and looks best when it's hand-trimmed to form a natural mounded shape, rather than trying to keep it manicured with hedge trimmers. Now this is not the native variety, for all you native plant purists out there, though many nurseries sell the dwarf as just "firebush," which can get confusing. Here's how to tell the difference: The native grows larger and has slightly "hairy" leaves and deep red to red-orange flowers. It's dwarf "cousin" can be kept smaller and more compact, though with a similar informal look. The smaller variety has smoother leaves and a touch of yellow to the blossoms...and requires a bit more care. Recently I found a native Dwarf Firebush being grown by a local grower and I'm jazzed about using it in some of my upcoming projects! --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
