Please share details of what stone was used here? A: Hello! This is a split face black slate. The slate is from Brazil and is named Montauk Black. **Q: What kind of sealer was used?** *(in Photo Questions)* Do you know what kind of sealer was used and what finish (matte, satin)? Thanks! A: it depends. When you utilize the Seal and Enhance it does have a small amount of sheen on it. It can get worn down slightly to normal wear and tear, especially in places like a shower. It doesn't mean the enhancement is gone, it just means that surface sheen has worn down. The regular impregnating sealer does not leave any sheen at all.
