She has been a delight to work with, eagerly anticipating my requests and design elements. She has become a trusted advisor on all of the elements of my home, helping me tie together the old aspects with design elements in the new areas, offering her professional views in a non-judgmental way and trying to keep me on budget with my design choices (not an easy task). There were no surprises on any of our projects because Susan made sure everything was thoroughly researched before any work began. Each project was on time and on budget. Our 1970s colonial in Potomac had wasted space in the master bedroom, a small bathroom and narrow closets that she was able to redesign in a way that makes much more efficient use of our existing space without having to add-on to our house. It now looks like a master suite with a large bathroom and a large walk in closet and how it should have always been designed! She had so many great suggestions about where to place doorways and windows so we could expand in the future if we felt that we needed to or for resale value. And she had to work around an awkward chimney stack in the wall that now you would never even know was there. We also spruced up our basement with Susan's advice about what materials would work best for sound proofing, lighting, and keeping the ceiling as high as possible. She worked hard to find what we needed. It looks great and like an extension of the rest of our house.
