> Kathy & Ashleigh Smith of Kensington Smith Design , LLC did an amazing job renovating and remodeling the entire downstairs of our home.. We had an idea of what we would like to see but didn’t know how to get there. They had the ability to be able to create a vision that we could understand and love when it came to fruition. Throughout the process, Kathy and Ashleigh were extremely patient while also being professional in guiding us throughout all aspects of the renovation. Their attention to detail was amazing…. Picking tile, countertops, flooring, appliances and even furniture…they thought of everything and were cognizant of staying within our budget.

> Having them communicate with us, the construction company as well as all the individual vendors definitely proved helpful in keeping things moving in a timely manner and sometimes even sped things up for us. When things weren’t perfect to their liking or ours, they made sure to get it right. The overall process went extremely smooth, was not stressful and met our needs to the very end. With all the nightmare stories you here about construction renovation, we can honestly state that this was the best and most positive experience and are thrilled with the results. We would without a doubt recommend and continue to use Kensington Smith Design, LLC for any future projects.

> We absolutely loved working with Kathy and Ashleigh from Kensington Smith Design! They are both exceptionally detail oriented, and easy to work with. Not only were they reliable and prompt in their responses to our many texts/emails/phone calls, but they were also always willing to stop by the house to talk through questions or ideas in person. They were thoughtful in keeping our budget in mind and sourcing materials/making recommendations to help us stay within budget. We truly couldn’t have had a better experience and absolutely love everything they did to make our house a home!

> Kensington Smith Design did an amazing job on remodeling our entire house. Ashleigh Smith was the Project Manager and she was excellent. We appreciate the fact that they listened to what we wanted, kept to our vision, stayed within our budget and was able to deliver well beyond our expectations. Ashleigh is very clever in finding solutions to reduce costs which was very helpful. We really enjoyed working with them and would definitely recommend using their services in any size job big or small. Kensington Smith Design is the best! We are so happy!

> Kathy and Ashleigh did a great job for us and they are highly recommended! They used the parts of our house that we didn't recently remodel (kitchen) and integrated the remainder of our remodeled house with the kitchen and saved us a lot of money. They are wonderful with matching colors and patterns. They have great contacts with vendors so you can purchase anything you want for your house at a good price. They helped us with every aspect of our remodel, inside and out.

> When you hire Kathy Smith, you not only get a professional with excellent design and interior decorating skills, but a professional who is organized, stays in contact with her client and their contractor and subs, and visits the job site daily. Kathy helps keep the project on schedule by coordinating suppliers, subs, and her client so that everyone has a complete understanding of what is happening; she coordinates all of the parts of the project so that they all come together in a timely manner. Kathy has excellent input and brings ideas to the table that the client and sometimes contractor and subs have not thought of. She has a great sense of style, design, and color and listens to what her client wants. She works well with everyone involved in the project and is well connected with a vast array of resources for anything you may want to do. And along with this comes a professional who is friendly, positive, and a joy to work with.

**★★★★★ — CP McClary Construction Inc, Jan. 2017**

> C.P McClary construction has worked side-by-side with Kensington Smith Design on various projects for the past five years. C.P McClary Construction has worked with many designers over the last 30 years but non of which compare to Kensington Smith. Kensington Smith is a company that excels in professionalism, organization, quality and creativity, making them our first choice in design. We highly recommend the company to all homeowners.

> It was a pleasure being able to work with Kathryn to design a custom light fixture for one of her projects. Her strong sense of design and architectural elements really shines through in all of her work and the fixture we created for her was no different. She took command of her project to patiently coordinate the details every step of the way with our technical team, and seamlessly with her crew. A strong advocate for her clients and projects, she takes pride in everything she does, and we look forward to working with her on many more of her projects to create her dream light fixtures.

**★★★★★ — Renwes Sales, Jan. 2017**

We have enjoyed sharing many happy clients and look forward to many projects in the future with this talented designer.

> Ms. Smith was a pleasure to work with on this project. She had researched our products and made sure the Client was knowledgeable about their choices. This made the actual ordering process go smoothly for all parties. I will look forward to working with her in the near future.

> Kathy's design skills are remarkable. We've worked on many projects with Kathy from designing offices spaces, to designing and building vacation homes, to designing and RE-building 2 permanent residences. Her design acumen is spot on. Every project we've worked on has been completely different in scope, from size to design. We've achieved success with commercial space, a tropical vacation home, a traditional home, a modern-rustic living space and we are currently working on a mountain retreat. No detail, no matter how small, is overlooked or glossed over. She has a full working knowledge of the construction process and materials. That knowledge allows her to communicate and work extremely efficiently with everyone on the project from builders to people involved in the design process. Every project we've done with Kathy has been an amazing success.

  - Description: The final design for this home is distinctively multidimensional. My design goal was to achieve modern, clean spaces interposing rustic elements with reclaimed woods throughout the home. The residence opens up to gorgeous outdoor waterfront living with views from multiple spaces and visually obscures the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. Clean lines, contemporary elements and rustic undertones make this a very alluring and comfortable space. Reclaimed barn wood and vintage beam de…

  - Description: This design is more of an intimate private resort rather than a typical home. The estate flows from inside to out, from mountain to sea where traditional Hawaiian design is combined with Balinese/Zen overtones to create a luxurious feeling of calm and serenity. The exterior is surrounded in a rich red cedar which gives a warm and inviting feel as you enter the hand carved custom gates which I designed and had made in Brazil. The interior features limestone and Brazilian slate throughout with a s…

  - Description: Five Nine John Lofts is an upscale luxury condo development near Wall Street that was once an office building built in the 1900s. The conversion of this building to boutique condos began in 2004 and the residences were completed in 2007. The design objective for this boutique condo was to make the space look visually larger by drawing your eye to the furthest parts of each room. By selecting deep toned paint colors combined with painting out trims really gave the illusion of increased size and s…
