Several emails, multiple phone calls and a 'check-list' approach to support and I was left with zero options but to replace their unit with a different companies. The change worked... > > Now, Warmup refuses to provide a refund on the product - the one they recommend - that neither worked nor was actually backwards compatible with its previous version. DON'T fall for the glitz, the product is not as its advertised. **★ — RenosGroup, April 2023** > Do not buy this product without consultation or studying the installation manual first. This product should not be sold online, where a consultation on calculating the exact size you need is not available. This product cannot be shortened, overlapped, or squished in any way and they have very specific installation measurements that vary depending on your flooring type. I am an experienced general contractor, I got it wrong and had to re-order a smaller unit, and now I am stuck with a $1,249.00 heating mat. This time, I had the Warm-up customer service agent tell me what size I needed based on the room measurements I sent them by email. Even they got it wrong and sent me the size that would have fit had I not been installing this under carpet flooring. Which requires a distance of 6" from any walls rather than 3" for all the rest of the flooring types. I had an elderly couple who could not move back into their home until this heater was installed, so I had to have the carpet carefully install over the heating mat with a 3" gap from all walls, rather than the recommended 6". Thankfully, the mats showed the same testing stats as before the carpet installation. Luckily, this time, I was able to compromise to make it work but I wonder if I would have had to pay for a third unit if not. Be cautious when purchasing products that advertise "No Refunds". In the end, our client had to purchase an extra wall heater to get the room to their preferred temperature. Based on this experience, I do not recommend purchasing warm-up products. There are other similar products on the market that will refund their product if the wrong size is purchased. **★ — Sue Nori, Aug. 2022** > DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! We have $6000 of their sticky Matt and Foil heating system sitting in our basement unable to be used. In order to have product ESA Certified, you require verification that whichever laminate flooring you are installing over warm-up’s radiant heating system, that Laminate flooring company must verify compatibility. We have contacted over 25 laminate companies and cannot get ANY of them to verify compatibility with warm-ups product. As a result we cannot get product laid by a certified electrician or passed by ESA! After purchase service by this company is horrific. Cannot get anybody to assist us at Warmup in identifying a laminate flooring product that will verify compatibility. Do not waste your money. WarmUp will tell you their product is compatible with laminate , but when the time comes they will not verify compatibility with any flooring products other than tile. A: Heated tiles! **Q: Shower Transition for a handicapped wheelchair person to serve her special needs.** *(in Before & After)* This customer of mine is handicapped and is sitting in a wheelchair. Her old shower was a prefabricated molded shower including a shower pan with an over 6 inch high curb and a metal framed shower enclosure. It was very difficult for her to get in and out. The target was to create a barrier free shower which nevertheless holds a bit of water while she can sit in it having a shower. The door opening is wider as normal and the doors open like French doors to the inside as well as to the outside. This makes it easier for her to operate the doors from her wheelchair and also to get in and out. The shower door opening is wide enough to roll in with the wheelchair so she can have a shower while sitting in her wheelchair if wished or needed. The floor tiles inside the shower are pretty slippery, this makes it easier for her to move around with her legs. She also uses soap to make it more slippery. For the outer floor we used non-slip tiles to make sure the wheelchair stays safe when she is leaving it to have a shower. The inner shower floor as well as the outer floor are heated by an electrical floor heating system which makes it very comfortable for her to sit on the floor. The baseboard is made from the same tile as the floor tiles and the corners between the baseboard and the floor are sealed with 100% silicone in grout color. All tile edges are covered by Schluter Rondec profiles. \- The shower walls are built and waterproofed with the Wedi System. \- The shower floor is concrete and waterproofed with red guard. \- All corners inside the shower are waterproofed wit Mapeeband. \- All corners are caulked with 100% silicone in grout color. \- Both the inner and the outer shower floor are electric heated.
