> Timberframe Horizons was our designer and builder for our hybrid home.  We were very pleased with the detail and organization of the overall design package. Specifically, the 3-D model was important for the initial design which we made changes to a few times.  Tom Rouse is an excellent listener and does not push his ideas but does give good honest feedback.
> With Tom's help and guidance we made choices to lower the cost to meet our budget.  We are pleased with the results and choices made to bring the cost in line.  The SIP roof is the way to go with the Timber Frame construction.  We changed the initial design timber frame materials to DCF and then to a hybrid design and are pleased with the results.  Tom suggested extending the timbers into the kitchen/dining area without the cost of a total timber frame structure.
> We have had a good relationship with our designer who is also the builder.  The construction process is longer than a conventional design but the longer time is worth the wait for the quality of the finished product.

> Tom Rouse is a knowledgeable timber frame designer and who is familiar with the best wood species for the application. He is CAD capable, listens to owner's objectives and creates efficient and architectural beautiful designs. He also knows the right sawmills and shops to use for timber frame joinery, either hand or CNC cut. The software he uses translates to CNC machine code. He is a responsive and very well-rounded timber frame design/builder who can provide full residential architectural and construction services.

A: Sedna Granite

**Q: What type and color of stain are on the beams, please.  Beautiful!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you very much.  The beams are white oak and finished with a custom SW blend stain.  We top coat the beams with satin Polycrylic.

**Q: What type of wood are the floors and where are they from, please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Red Oak \#2, 3 inch wide planks

**Q: what is the exterior paint manufacturer and color? ...love it!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: SW Super Paint - Griffin siding color.  We also used poplar bark.  The white oak timbers are finished with Sikkens log and siding - Dark Oak color.
