> We have been extremely unhappy with the quality of the trim paint, both inside and outside of our home. The touch ups we were offered toward the end of our warranty period did little to address the root of the problem. It appears that much of the paint work was not properly prepared, as it should not be peeling in a brand new home. ADM Painting was sent out in December to complete the touch ups, but we have continued to experience new paint issues since then, including in areas that were already repaired. We now have multiple baseboards with exposed wood, as well as peeling on the island and back doors. I've included photos of some of the botched touch up jobs done and areas where the paint is now completely gone. We did not know when purchasing this home that we would not be able to do touch ups ourselves due to the kind of paint used. For context, we are very meticulous homeowners. We do not have children, we own a small 10 pound dog, and there is minimal traffic in these areas. Normal wear and tear is not a factor. If you are considering buying a home from McGregor, I would recommend having a conversation about their use of lacquer paint for trim. In our experience, they have not been able to achieve a durable or consistent finish. Everything from crown molding, baseboards, and cabinet doors are flaking and peeling. This should not be happening in a brand new build. Previously, we lived in a DR Horton home in Houston that cost significantly less, and the trim and paint were in better condition after eight years than what we are seeing in this home after a much shorter period.

> Issue after issue after issue. Issues have ranged from Roof leaks, Heating and Cooling Issues, Plumbing Issues and the list goes on and on. This is a new build and the premium you pay is ridiculous for the quality you get. The worst quality I have ever experienced from a home builder.

> I was first drawn to Cottage Grove due to its unique home styles and the beautiful setting of the neighborhood.  I can honestly say that after living in my McGregor home for several months it was a great decision.  Everything from the design to the craftsmanship is outstanding . This is the first home that I've ever owned that I can say I wouldn't change a thing.  It's beautiful and very practical with no wasted space.  The McGregor team has also been very responsive to any needs or changes that were necessary.  I highly recommend them!

> My wife and I purchased a home from McGregor Homes in 2011.  We were very impressed with the design and the extras that were added to this home due to the fact it was a parade home.   Needless to say, we have been very disappointed in the quality of the construction.  I think it may be due to the fact that the job was rushed, trying to get ready for the Parade.
> We have had several problems, in the beginning that were minor, and addressed by the builder.  But as time has gone by, we have experience a few major issues.   We have already had to have five piers added due to settling.  The concrete slab is cracked all through the kitchen, which is resulting in replacing the entire kitchen flooring.  Both the front and back patios have extensive cracks in the concrete and envision this will have to be replaced soon.
