> I now have my dream house thanks to Amy Alexander. I expressed my ideas regarding furniture, colors, accessories, etc., and Amy has far exceeded what I expressed. She really understood me and my taste. I love my house. It's so beautiful yet comfortable.

> Amy Alexander, of Ask Amy Designs was everything I was looking for in a decorator! Not only was she prompt, courteous, and professional; but along with her amazing talent was her ability to REALLY LISTEN! Too often I have had friends complain that their decorator interjected too much of his/her own design/vision into the project, while not carrying out the client's vision for their home. Amy gets it! She was able to take the ideas my husband and I had, and provide some of the most beautiful fabrics, trims, etc. for our new home, as well as suggest some great hints for furniture placement, accessories, art placement, and the like. We have been so pleased with her work and would highly recommend her to others!

**★★★★★ — The Iron Petunia Design Company, May 2015**

> I have had the privilege of working with Amy on several projects. She is always respectful of the clients wishes while still giving sound advise. She has a great eye for color and a natural ability to work color and style into a clients home.

**★★★★★ — Paul Fitzgerald, April 2015**

> Amy designed our new office space to give it a modern and clean look. We have an impressive conference room that is very stylish and leave a good impression with our clients. The office space is open in design and includes a beautiful kitchen area that includes a bar area. We could not be more happy with the choice of colors, materials and fabrics that made our new office a welcome place to be.

> Without hesitation I strongly recommend Amy Alexander for anyone needing the services of an interior designer. She is the ultimate professional and her one goal is to make her customer happy. Amy truly listened to my vision for our bathroom remodel and she made it happen. From start to finish she was there every step of the way; i.e., picking out tile, cabinets, fixtures, wall color/faux finishing, fixtures, accessory items, etc. Her ideas and choices were based on what she knew I liked Amy was very open to my ideas/suggestions and I appreciated the fact that Amy gave her advice and input when she felt my ideas/suggestions would not give me the design and desired result I was looking for. Amy was very conscious of keeping within my budget. Her relationship with different contractors was invaluable in getting different jobs done to reach our goal in a timely manner. Her company name, Ask Amy, is a perfect description for her because any time I had a question or needed an opinion, I would "Ask Amy" and I always felt confident with her answer. I am so very pleased and happy with our remodel. Amy Alexander is not only a great interior designer but a warm, caring individual who makes her client's best interest her No. 1 priority.

> Amy is great to work with, and has plenty of vision to what we could do given the budget and material restrictions of a new build. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family and plan to continue our project when it comes time to furnish the house.

**★★★★ — Lindsey Lieto, Jan. 2014**

> Amy did fantastic work on our home. She was able to tie together our mix of traditional and contemporary styles while making it fit within existing structure and style of our home. She made it an easy experience working around my schedule and bringing me a lot of relevant options. She pulled this all off while staying within budget and timeframe constraints.

**★★★★★ — eon405, Jan. 2014**

> We hired Ask Amy to help us bring a 1980s house into the new century. This includes a major rennovation of the kitchen and master bath, plus painting, wall-papering, carpeting and re-staining. Adding to the difficulty was our busy work schedules, including lots of out-of town travel which limited our availablity to work directly with her.

> Outstanding job! Excellent attention to detail, both as to styles that suit our needs and implementing them into design. Truly listened to what we wanted and helped us bring that into our new home.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Love the countertop! Could you share material and name?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi! Beautiful countertop - mind sharing what material and color it is? Thank you!

A: The countertop is a granite called White Vermont

**Q: Can you share who makes this bed?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This bed was made by Swaim Furniture Company.

**Q: Ceiling material** *(in Photo Questions)*

Any idea what type ceiling system and materials used? We are in process of finishing basement and I'm trying desperately to avoid a drop ceiling? Thank you!

A: The ceiling material is Cedar wood 6" width tounge and grove planks. They were had faux finished with a gray wash to accent the wood tile flooring. This would be a great treatment to use instead of a drop ceiling. Hope this helps!

**Q: Gorgeous kitchen!!!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you please share the paint color used on the walls? I have a similar kitchen and am in the process of picking paint and I love the color in your design. Thanks in advance!

A: The paint color is Believable buff by Sherwin Williams.

**Q: ? regarding this wall color** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello- just painted this color on the walls in my son's room and he hates it. For some reason, it's drying w/ a purple/lilac hue to it. We've only done 1 coat so I'm wondering if I can apply a coat of a different color on top of the Upward to tone it down a bit? He was looking for more of a slate blue room. Thanks!

A: If he is looking for more of a slate blue I would recommend a Sherwin Williams color called Storm Cloud. You can paint it over the current bleu and that will give you a slate blue look.

**Q: How large is the bathroom? Dimensions?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The bathroom is 12'-0" x 15'-0" with a corner shower, center tub, two vanities, and a corner water closet. Hope that helps!
