We were very satisfied with Wood Ridge and specifically with Erik. As home owners, we were very hands on and Erik always picked up the phone/was available on site. Erik did his absolute best to ensure that our vision was achieved. Erik made many recommendations that ultimately enhanced our home from heating and ventilation to specific makes and models for our appliances. He runs a very clean and professional job site. **★★★★★ — mommab2u, Jan. 2014** > The job we hired Wood Ridge Construction for was a complete remodel of our home. It was very outdated and needed the following: removal of wall paper, removal of wall to wall carpeting, removal of all things "gold", removal of blue 3X3 ceramic tile in the master bath, as well as replacing kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, and two interior walls that needed to be moved. The total square footage of the home is approx. 3500 SF. We met with Erik, the owner, in January and were initially impressed by two things; first he LISTENED to us and then second he offered two big suggestions that although we thought we diddn't want to do, it made sense after discussing it and we are VERY glad he talked to us about them. He suggested that with all the work we were putting into the home, that we should consider replacing the windows. Right on point. An expense that we were hoping to avoid, but are totally glad that we listened to him. Secondly we were not going to update the original oak cabinets in the kitchen. He called midway through the job and asked us to reconsider. Again considering the total scope of the project, leaving the old, dated cabinets did not make sense. He had a sub-contractor who came in, measured and built custom cabinets which are beautiful. It had no impact on the completion date of the job. The entire project took three months. That's all!! All of his sub-contractors were excellent and the work is meticulous. He was always on time when meeting with us and since this is a second home, much of our communication was via texting, email and photos. It all worked well. Thanks sooo much. What a beautiful house! A: This railing is made entirely from steel and was custom fabricated by local craftsmen. **Q: Love the look, is it tile? Who's the maker and name?** *(in Photo Questions)* My husband and I found a similar if not exact tile while shopping for bathrooms. We're thinking of installing it on the guest bath floor, but this gives us a great idea for the fireplace. Would it take away from the look if we have it in 2 different areas? A: This is a porcelain tile product named Corten, made to resemble rusted steel. Each tile installed on the fireplace chase is approximately 18"X36" but is availible in 12"X12" and other sizes. We have installed this tile on bathroom floors and shower walls also. There are photos availible of this on the Wood Ridge Construction page listed under the Lahontan project. **Q: Tile sizes?** *(in Photo Questions)* Is the floor done with 24x24? And 18x12? A: The slate floor tile is installed in a Versailles pattern, tub face tile is 12x12, shower walls is a mix of 12x12/6x6/ledge-stone deco/and 4x4 pan.
