> Work was done with an eye to detail. Being a perfectionist, I am somewhat hard to please however, Viejo Tile and Stone met all my expectations and then some. Woud recommend them without hesitation.

> Jeremy was referred to me by a friend at work and I was very happy with the recommendation. I was so impressed with his work that I recommended him to two family members and we were all delighted with his work. In addition to Jeremy's excellent work quality, I found him to be reliable, affordable and very professional.

> He first laid a simple tile floor in my mother's kitchen and bath. I was so pleased with Jeremy's work that I had him install a full designer backsplash to compliment my new granite counter top in my remodeled kitchen. I suggested that my daughter use Jeremy with her master bathroom remodel. He demoed, reconstructed and designed a beautiful walk-in shower for her. Thumbs up to Jeremy, I recommend him highly.

> Jeremy with Viejo Tile does amazing work, on time and on budget. He has done our travertine great room with a granite hearth, marble bath and hallway, and a beautiful patterened front entry way with two types of marble. Jeremy's attention to detail is his most important asset. Groutlines and cuts are perfect. In fact, our kitchen floor was done so perfectly well, that when we had our cabinets installed 5 years later, they didn't even have to put the quarter round at the bottom of the toe kick to cover any gaps. There weren't any!
>
> He also did a bathroom and beautiful marble fireplace surround and hearth in another home.
>
> I highly recommend Viejo Tile!

## Community Q&A

**Q: granite behind range** *(in Photo Questions)*

I would love to do this in my kitchen. Are the granite and tile the same depth? I'm not sure I will be able to get a thinner granite to avoid a "lip or a step" when the tile and granite are flush up against each other. Is there any work around?

A: better if it flush, smoother look, but hard to see in that photo

**Q: Eat-In Island- Good or Bad?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We love putting islands that are big enough to eat-in, since formal dining rooms don't seem to be very popular, what do you think?

A: love them, we use ours all the time, though if you have a better place to eat, removing it would really open up the room, especial with tile

**Q: Empty space on top of kitchen cabinets-help plz** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My kitchen cabinets don't go all the way to the ceiling--any ideas/pics on what I could use to decorate the unused space on top of the cabinets?

A: collector or decorative plates, small items along the same line

**Q: How to decorate this entertainment nook.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

How should I decorate this nook? The style for the room will be transitional, and the nook will be the focus of the room since it's where the TV will go.

I have thought about built-in cabinet/entertainment center, but they look boring kinda like bookshelves and/or kitchen cabinets. I'd like something with a bit more style since this nook will be the focus.

Any idea?

A: a killer painter or large TV would be great depending on whats across from it. Love that space.

**Q: TRUE DESIGN DILEMMA** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Planning layout of kitchen renovation. House is 1100sf 1917 Bungalow. Plaster walls! So we are ripping it all out in the kitchen. Kitchen floor space is 16X10. East/West lengthwise. Dining room is beyond south wall and is shorter from west end by 4 feet. We want to open this wall, give kitchen floor space some additional depth and separate the two spaces with an island. DILEMMA...In the south east corner of the kitchen is a 20"X20" brick chimney. Currently, the hot water heater sits in front of it and both are hidden inside a cabinet that was build around it in the '50's maybe. We dont yet know what the chimney looks like as the only portion I can visualize is whats above the water tank and its covered in ancient crumbling wallpaper with what looks like a layer of thin set over bricks. In crawl space, and attic, the integrity of the structure is intact red brick. The wall on the dining room side thats against the chimney is cracking/falling plaster. I want to expose this massive element and incorporate. IDEAS? If photos r necessary for u to "see" this, let me know.

A: marble counter tops, designer backsplash, cermanic tile flloor

**Q: Circle tub?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is this round item in this bedroom?

A: that is unique and very cool looking
