If you are a perfectionist and want things to be done just so, Godwin will be a good match for you. When unforeseen problems come up on the job--as they inevitably do, Godwin finds solutions. We had a problem with the design of our air conditioning system and Godwin worked with the board of our cooperative to find a solution that preserved our design while satisfying our board's aesthetic preferences. We also had a problem with the stone we chose for our kitchen, and Godwin helped us locate stone in another state and transport it to New York. When our dog chewed through our new molding in the kitchen, Godwin repaired the molding and designed a Plexiglas cover to prevent the damage from reoccurring. Steve Godwin forms lasting relationships with his clients and is there for them long after the job is completed. Our renovation was three years ago, but I still call Steve and his team when I'm in a bind and need a carpenter urgently--like when I am about to host a holiday and my dining room table (which Godwin had nothing to do with) is about to collapse.
