Post some photos of your project. **Q: What is your wire diameter and square opening size on your mesh rail?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: We used www.mcnichols.com stock number 343088G048. It is 4'x8' and has 2.808" openings and 0.1920" wire size. A larger opening size could be used if local codes allow. **Q: Is the welded wire mesh used for the railing galvanized? Will it rust?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: We used welded wire fabric from www.mcnichols.com. They have several patterns to choose from and we did purchase galvanized material and painted it. **Q: How did you paint the 1 x's?** *(in Photo Questions)* Looking to do something similar. We purchased a cabin in Blue Ridge and one wall of great room has this type of look, but not nearly as nice, and I'd like to paint all bedrooms this way. Thanks for answering. A: Take a few scap boards and work with the paint color you like. Start by "cutting" the paint with water ( as long as it is water based paint ) and apply to the board. Keep cutting the paint until you reach the desired opacity once dried. It may take several tries to reach the desired look. Good luck and post some photos of your finished project. **Q: Timber** *(in Photo Questions)* Is this a timber frame or is the ceiling faux timber. Is it structural or aesthetic only. A: There was a loft in the original design. However, local codes did not allow for the ladder to access it. We used the space orginally allocated for the loft as the water heater location. **Q: The floors are beautiful with the cabinets!** *(in Photo Questions)* Can you tell me the type of wood and stain on floor? A: The floors are pine boards with a minwax finish. The wood was sourced locally. It had approximately 25% heart content.
