> Beware this builder. They talk a good game about how they are going to take care of you during the build and how great their quality is.
> Then when it come time to start the project they started 4 months late, ignored home inspections that highlighted issues with the construction that are not to code, bullied us, lied to us, used bait and switch tactics for pricing, and I could have lived with all of those issues if the home was nice when it was completed.
> But they stained half the woodwork the wrong color so my interior is two tone. Interior and exterior paint work looks like someone’s first time doing it. Half the interior walls are out of square or plumb, electrical work is unfinished. Plumbing work is unfinished and some of it is wrong/hack work, HVAC system is unfinished, and the homes room vary by as much as 12\* at times. Then to top all of that off everything is dented, scratched, chipped with bad “touch Up” work done to it in an attempt to hide it from us in order to close.
> When asked to fix all these items they refuse to, said it all normal and within their contract to allow them to leave a home finished in this manner. We have been fighting with them for repairs for 2 months now with no end in sight. So, this leaves me with $100,000+ in repairs needed to bring the home to a new like finish and correct all the structural issues if we just give up and close like they want.
>
> So, hire a real custom home builder for the same money and better service and quality or Lennar/DR Horton to get the same quality at half the price.

> We looked at single family detached homes for nearly 2 years.   We looked at new construction and existing homes from far south suburbs to far west and north suburbs.  Everything of the quality we were seeking was highly priced or had association fees that were extremely high.   We found the Pratt development in Hugo and bought a lot the same day.  The quality of these homes is very high, the pricing is very reasonable.  We stopped nearly every day during the building process and the quality of the craftmanship was superior.  They bend over backwards to make it a wonderful experience for the buyer.     We love everything about our new home.
