> We just had all of our carpeted space – bedrooms (4), dining room, study, game/media room, staircase, landing, all hallways and closets - replaced with engineered hardwood.  ~1900 sf … a good sized project; a pretty big project when you factor in all the furniture moving and the special treatment we wanted for the staircase.  After getting bids, we went with EJS Flooring (713-408-8608; 346-800-7141; ejsflooringllc.com).  The principal in EJS Flooring is Sergio Gonzalez.  Sergio and his team did an outstanding job on the installation.  Great workmanship and the crew came in on a couple of Sunday’s in order to meet our aggressive schedule.  They handled all the carpet take-out/disposal and the furniture moving/replacement.  Sergio is a “hands on” business owner and he was there for every single step of the project; he personally handled almost all of the installation.  Sergio worked effectively with our flooring source (ProSource -- another great company) to ensure the right amount of flooring and installation materials were ordered.  Overall, excellent workmanship at a very, very competitive price.
