> We had an amazing experience with WAMO! The team is professional, conscientious and visionary. They listened with infinite patience to our ideas, and then executed our dreams in the most extraordinary ways! WAMO's relationships with both builders and suppliers is unmatched. They where very aware of our budget throughout the process. Their attention to detail allowed us to breathe freely during our year long build. We highly recommend this dynamic studio for any and all architectural needs.

**★★★★★ — C.C. Culver, Nov. 2019**

> WAMO has successfully solved a series of functional and aesthetic problems at both my home and farmhouse. They have also designed a beautiful custom spa for my garden that is currently under construction. I have enjoyed working with both Vahid and Carol. They are professional but keep the process open for collaboration which is important to me. I highly recommend WAMO to anyone building from scratch or remodeling an existing building.

**★★★★★ — Paul King, Nov. 2019**

> When we first met Vahid and Carol of WAMO Studio Architects we knew immediately by their professionalism and warmth that this would be a long term relationship. The task was building an art studio that would accommodate my career having newly relocated to Santa Fe, NM. Vahid's vision was to create a structure that was informed by the landscape, the closely situated barn and house and the forward thinking dialogue set up by its new presence. The thrilling solution was an elegantly clean building covered in Shou Sugi Ban charred wood with hidden gutters and beautifully placed glazing. Vahid's deep knowledge and international experience informed the esthetic choices but also expertly steered the build process which was a joy to watch unfold. Attentive and oriented to detail, we always felt cared for and that all around there was pride in the work. We would highly recommend WAMO for any Design/Build project your dreaming of!

> Vahid and Carol of Wamo Studio are not only wonderful people, they are super talented - like really super talented! We choose them because of their knowledge of building passive and art for modern home design. They are both exceptional listeners, very thorough and delivered above and beyond what we asked for! All of the designs they presented were AMAZING, that it was hard to choose just one. You won't be disappointed with the level of service, knowledge and perfection they provide - they are true artists! Thanks WAMO!

**Comment from WAMO Studio Architects:**

> Thank you! We have really enjoyed working with you both as well!

> World-class architects and consummate professionals. An absolute pleasure to work with. They consistently offer excellent service and in-depth technical knowledge.

**★★★★★ — Jeff & Sue Richardson, Feb. 2018**

> We recently moved to Santa Fe and purchased a 1940s house in a great location at a reasonable price, but it needed refurbishment. Vahid Mojarrab and Carol Ware, principals in the architectural firm WAMO, were recommended to us and we struck up an immediate rapport. The project took a two-level house and transformed it into two independent and private living units with separate private entrances. Vahid’s architectural design added the private entrance and additional window to the lower level, making the entry and main living room well-lit with natural light and accessible without conflicting with the upper unit. In the upper level, Vahid designed a way of greatly increasing the utilization of space, transforming a cramped second bedroom into a spacious office and TV room. Carol Ware provided interior design, material, and color decisions for the both levels, including the design for a beautiful, sinuous, modern built-in desk and shelves. We are delighted with the results. We would work with WAMO again and recommend them. One special addition to their talents was their builder connections which led us to artisans able to enhance our property’s interior and exterior appeal. Vahid and Carol are active and patient listeners. They developed and saw through to completion a project that met and surpassed our expectations while keeping our budget in mind. We hope to work with them again in the future.

**Comment from WAMO Studio Architects:**

> So much fun working with you both. Love seeing your art collection all in place!

**★★★★★ — Philip Asprodites, Feb. 2018**

> Vahid is an excellent architect who created our planned home that captured both functionality and an understated elegance based on a unique and modern Santa Fe style. I can highly recommend WAMO to anyone seeking a unique and quality design regardless of the location.

**★★★★★ — Rey Aldaco, Feb. 2018**

> I have known Carol and Vahid since 1995 and they have been a true inspiration. The studio is an award winning firm located in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico delivering diverse work ranging from residential, commercial to master planning. If in the neighborhood, make their acquaintance and visit their ultra cool office.
>
> Their design methodology, innovative and authentic is informed by their desire to create fluid interaction between art and science. Driven by ruthless confidence and creative pragmatism, I feel they see that bold, enlightened design elevates the soul and enriches our communities. They craft distinctive, sustainable, elegantly-resolved designs that not only meet the needs of their clients, but also an excellent response to the design program.
>
> Keep up the extraordinary work !

> WAMO Studio, LLC provided pro bono architectural services and project management oversight for the renovation of a 6,000 sq ft retail space into a homeless shelter now housing up to 125 people/night and feeding up to 150 people for lunch and dinner. In addition to all of the architectural drawings and documents, WAMO arranged for all of the permits and dealt with sub-contractors. The project was delivered on-time and within budget. The principal, Vahid Mojarrab, took great care to understand the specific needs of this operation. His design has allowed for maximum effectiveness in serving large numbers year 'round.

**Comment from WAMO Studio Architects:**

> It has been our privilege to work with you over the years to help the homeless population here in Santa Fe.

**★★★★★ — da Silva Architecture, Inc, Feb. 2016**

> I have known Carol and Vahid at WAMO Studio for almost 20 years and these are the phrases that spring to mind when i think of them: Art and Architecture as a way of life; regional and international sensibilities; socially responsible and environmentally sensitive; professional and responsive; masters of technique and beauty; a pleasure to work for and with.
>
> I highly recommend WAMO for your next project...be it an object, a space or a building.

**★★★★★ — romanim, Feb. 2016**

> WAMO designs beautiful homes with many green features ... advanced wall/roof framing and insulation to prevent heat loss and gain and infiltration of outside air, use of high efficiency ERVs for inoor air quality, consideration of passive solar principles in home and window layout ...
>
> Vahid is very professional and responsive - great to work with.

**★★★★★ — sodiseos, Feb. 2016**

> Vahid Mojarrab is a professional in every sense of the word. He is a good listener to assure an understanding of what is needed. He then combines and presents his knowledge, experience and standards as they apply to the project. He is realistic in a way that makes clear what will be involved in achieving the goal - within budget and with all elements needed to complete the project. All this means no foreseeable surprises that create distrust and lack of confidence.
> We worked together to acquire this property - no easy feat - and all along the way, through to completion of the major renovation, his integrity showed through.
> Over and above his technical skills, his ability to communicate respectfully and effectively sets him apart from others for whom ego and control get in the way of a smooth relationship. Finally, his ability to bring in and work with all the trades people involved is key to the success of this project! It has been a pleasure to work with him.

**Comment from WAMO Studio Architects:**

> Thanks Susan. We were so pleased to be part of this project.

  - Description: Cielo Santo is the “forever” home for a couple moving to Santa Fe from Hollywood. Intrigued by the remains of a stone wall on their site, they asked us to incorporate the element into their home. We have extrapolated this into the spine of the house: the rooms extend irregularly from the stone wall to maximize views, light and shadow, and the inside/outside style of living they want. - Description: This home was designed for a young family of four and is located in the deep heart of Santa Fe’s historic district. The outside facades have to conform to the Santa Fe Historic District’s stringent requirements and hence use a traditional vernacular vocabulary. The circulation pattern and materials are contemporary; an open plan with a direct relationship to the outdoors. The entry courtyard, with its daybed, makes an intimate space for relaxing and gazing into the starry nights. The rear portal…

  - Description: The house is right next to a river in Northern New Mexico make this project particularly special. The property is long, becoming narrower on the south side towards the river. The building is situated about 50 feet away from the water. These factors were essential in positioning the house and in developing its fundamental form. Towards the south, the house opens up with a wider view towards the river and its surroundings. The north and west facades are almost closed for privacy from the road. The…

  - Description: The Painter’s Box This is a particularly fun project: a painter’s studio. It occurred to us that the design is a version of the painter’s box, the watercolor box that is black outside and white inside with the fabulous cakes of colors. The studio is a simple form: the basic and popular shed. Shou Sugi Ban (Japanese method of charring wood) will create the beautiful blacks on the outside while the inside will be plain white to serve as the backdrop for Paul’s paintings. Of course, his beautiful w…
