Zach established Zach T. Carney Architects in 1990 based on the following principles:
Provide Architecture that enriches the owner’s daily life, yet is practical and responds to the owner’s economic constraints.
Designs should vary to reflect skill and sensitivity toward the owner’s individual needs as well as respect the climate and site.

Demand quality construction through thoroughly detailed drawings and material specifications, engage consultants appropriate to each project and spend needed time on site during construction.
All aspects of the project should exceed the owner’s expectation.
In order to meet these goals Zach and or TJ are personally involved throughout the process and are committed to working as team members. The staff remains small and the projects are limited to a select few each year.

**Q: Beautifully designed, pls consider sharing the color, its so lovely?:)** *(in Photo Questions)*

Im building on the river at the shore, perfect color!!!

A: The red cedar siding is SW woodscapes 3524. The trim on windows etc. is SW 6151 tan and lower trim (darker) is SW 6161 best bronze. Thank you for the comment and I hope this answer reaches you. I'm new at this Houzz stuff.

**Q: Cedar shingles** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello!  Just curious what treatment was used on these cedar shingles.  Are they natural white cedar or do they have a semi-transparent or transparent stain?  And if so, what color did you use?  Or did you bleach them?  Thank you so much!

A: Shingles are red cedar,\#1 blue label. Factory prefinished with custom color semi transparent stain

A: The doors were custom made mahogany by a local company - Overhead Door Co. of Charleston, SC
