I’d definitely work with Valor homes again! **★ — HU-408390985, May 2022** > When we closed with Valor at the end of February 2022, it was with the understanding and written guarantees that the issues identified during our final walkthrough, as well as any items covered by warranty would be promptly sought to. We have been patiently waiting for months for someone to address our concerns, and we have gone through the appropriate channels to report concerns with Valor. While some of our items have been addressed, to which we are happy with, there are many that have not. These include toilets that do not work, a water leak that has caused damage to walls, baseboards, and likely whatever is under the bathtub, exposed wires, a roof leak that grows worse by the day, and construction materials that have not been removed from the sidewalk- posing risk to anybody who walks or rides bikes. In addition, our backyard was torn out shortly after moving in with absolutely no communication or notice to us, nor were we told what the final product is supposed to be. This has affected our plans for the property that we now own and are not able to use. We have tried to make contact with every Valor representative we have an email or phone number for with no avail. IF they respond, it’s with promises that they are passing the message along to their manager, but no further contact or action is made. They have broken every promise they made us, as well as not delivered on items that we have paid for (window screens and kitchen cabinets). They have continued to build homes, biting off more than they can manage, without finishing the houses they have already sold. After talking to neighbors, they have had similar issues- terrible service and a substandard AND UNSAFE product. **★ — HU-254549516, Aug. 2021** > Poor quality house and their warranty services is a joke. Their contract favors them 100% and leaves no room for the buyer's rights. They will deliver whatever they want, whenever they want, and they don't care at all if it meets your needs or not. **★ — F Sanders, Oct. 2018** > If you decide to use them I would suggest you take your own realtor with you so that you can have another witness to hear everything they tell you that eventually doesn't happen. I would also suggest you try and see the plans before you sign on the dotted line or put something in the contract that you can get your earnest money back if the plans don't meet your expectations after they make their own changes....they changed several things from the completed home I was shown and dragged on for weeks on getting answers to me. My realtor stated that she would never take a client looking for a new construction home to this builder. I lost count of the times my realtor said 'I never seen nor heard of anyone doing such things'. I even had to get a pre-approval from their preferred lender even though I had a pre-approval letter. I would say stay away or protect your earnest money unless the house is already completed and meets your expectations. I should have gone with my gut feeling after seeing the terrible shape the entrance was in...but they said they 'were working on it'. > > The projection completion date given at contract signing was 2 months earlier than what was given at plan review time. > > Oh...the owner only signs contracts on Mondays so plan around that or add a week or more onto your waiting time. **★★★★★ — asabrantes, April 2016** > Had our home built by Valor in 2012. In addition, my house was completed within schedule. We picked from a wide range of exterior brick/color options and interior color/rug/floor/cabinet/tile options. > Our inspector (I hired one separately) and the city inspector were impressed. At closing, Leigh made it so easy to understand the product that we were receiving.
