**★★★★★ — Faye C, March 2025**

> Great experience with Precision! We had a small bathroom complete reno. Eli, Joseph, and co were professional, friendly, and responsive. We had a few snags come up with building approval and an ornery neighbor, and they handled everything with grace and courtesy so we did not have to worry about a thing. I especially appreciated that they were always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had! Start to finish the project took EXACTLY as long as they estimated which I think is a NYC miracle. Highly recommend to anyone and have already recommended them to folks in my building looking for a contractor.

**★ — Alan Simon, Feb. 2018**

> Nice people but incredibly sloppy. I even found paint drips in my toilet. The project manager was a no-show lots of times and while the workers were prompt and worked hard, they didn't do a great job.

**Comment from Precision:**

> We are not aware of doing work for an Alan Simon

**★★★★★ — Brenda Becker, Jan. 2017**

> Ben Forbes and his team worked with us as respectful colleagues on a massive demolition and remodeling job in our 100-year-old house, one that required loads of tricky judgment calls. Ben works alongside his crew, doesn't just turn them loose and vanish--a huge difference from most Brooklyn contractors we've used. The finished work was excellent, the clean-up along the way was meticulous, and we were able to settle any questions or issues with courtesy and common sense. The single most important qualification for a contractor is INTELLIGENCE of a problem-solving variety, and that's what we got. The photos show our 175-square-foot spare room after and before its transformation into a new office/studio space, and the ancient, falling-apart closet turned into a tiled powder room. Great work!

**Comment from Precision:**

> My crew and I enjoyed our work for Brenda and family. Thank you for your review!!

> We worked with Precision to do a partial renovation of our 2-floor apartment in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The work performed included opening up and remodeling the kitchen (including moving the plumbing for the sink; cabinetry was provided by a separate cabinetmaker), retiling and adding a bathroom with stall shower and vanity to our basement, re-tiling another bathroom and adding a sliding glass shower door, installing recessed lighting throughout, refinishing our pine floors, and repainting the walls and ceilings. The quality of Precision's work was the highest of any contractor we've worked with. We also appreciated their responsiveness in coming back to fix a handful of issues that arose after the project was completed. They kept public spaces meticulously clean. There were some issues with the schedule, primarily related to other work that came in while we were negotiating scope. But we ended up being very satisfied and would be happy to recommend them.

**★★★★★ — ADONIS Yatchew, Oct. 2016**

> Benjamin Forbes at Precision installed kitchen counters and cabinets, beautifully restored a century old floor, and completed several other tasks at our coop unit on the Upper East Side. HE COMPLETED THE WORK ON TIME AND ON BUDGET. I would describe Benjamin as not just a contractor, but as a true craftsman. Benjamin uses the newest technologies to ensure the highest quality -- for example, the equipment he used to sand the floors was virtually dust-free (I was unaware that such technology even existed). Having been involved with contractors on a number of occasions in the past, I can confidently give Benjamin the very highest endorsement and would recommend him without hesitation to my friends and family.

**Comment from Precision:**

> The crew and I enjoyed seeing the incredible transformation in the floor on this project. Thank you Adonis for being open minded to try the traditional rubbed-oil finish!

**★★★★★ — Floria Mihailovich, Oct. 2016**

> I wanted to convert my bathtub into a shower, so I decided to remodel my entire bathroom. I was very pleased with the outcome. Precision did good quality work. Benjamin Forbes was very helpful and professional. The project was well organized and completed within the expected timeframe. The work was also done in a neat and orderly manner.

**Comment from Precision:**

> Thank you for your review Floria! We enjoyed doing the work for you and also your hospitality!

**★★★★★ — Lisa Smith, Oct. 2016**

> I cannot say enough about my experience with Precision. What started out as perhaps just a bathroom addition in the basement, turned into a full-fledged basement project. Ben and his team did an exceptional job. They came on time, stayed late and cleaned up after themselves. I have hired plenty of contractors and I WILL NOT use anyone else besides Precision. The same crew (which I appreciated) came each day. The project took on many dimensions from the plumbing issues (sewer clearance), old boiler (replaced and added 2 new steam radiators (thank you Sanford!!!)), the new electrical panel (thanks Justin!!!) the moving of basement pillars, the dropped floor, the accent wall (thank you Jeray, Wendy, Francisco and Vitaly!!!), the epoxy floor (thank you Alex!!!), the crazy bathroom tile, new stairs...they did it all. Did I spend more than I intended to...yes, but it was well worth the extra expenses. It did take almost 5 months to complete, but the results are amazing. Again, I've hired many people, but am so happy I found Precision. Many thanks again, especially to Ben (project manager) and Alex, who calmed my fears both day, night and weekends. It is a year later and I am STILL finding things for them to do. You will NOT be disappointed.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Where is the light from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: "Skybang" Light by stickbulb.com.

**Q: White walls, now what?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi Everyone,
I've never really decorated seriously before but now I've bought my first apartment it's time! However, this means I don't have a wealth of experience to draw from. I favour (apparently) an eclectic vintage style with some industrial.
I decided to go blank canvas and painted my walls a clean white. However, I'm really not sure it was the right choice. It feels very stark and clinical right now.
Did other people feel the same way and did you stay the course and focus on furniture, textiles and art (and are now glad you did) - or should I revisit the paint before I get too far with trying to make up for it?

A: All white can be stunning if, as previous posters suggested, you have the right mix of accent pieces. Last year we completed such a project; an entire 2 bedroom apartment in BM white semigloss. This clean slate fit very well with our client's furniture, vases, area rugs, wall-length custom maple bookshelf (shameless self promotion!) and art. Consider adding a dark shaded standing lamp or two and perhaps a small crystal hanging light to cast some texture onto the walls.

**Q: textured wall** *(in Photo Questions)*

how was this wall created?

A: The opposite wall (see other images in project) was supplied by www.modulararts.com
