First thing she asked was what our style selected for this renovation. We were leaning towards contemporary modern interior design. After she completed the preliminary interior layout plan of the whole house renovation we saw an enormous changed and it helped us visualize an open concept living and entertainment space. What a tremendous improvement in house flow. She really pushed the Sockeye team to come up with an innovative structural solutions (Tom Warren, Structural Engineer) to make this open concept a reality. We really loved the European style dark wood cabinets she picked, also helped pick the backsplash and quartz counter tops for the kitchen and the island counters as well as the beverage center. > We also liked our spacious and clean looking master’s suite bathroom. We received a phone call from my father that the entire house was flooded. The cold weather caused a major pipe to burst and for 2 days the house was saturated in water. I was skeptical hiring someone because I was afraid that my ideas would get lost or our budget wouldn't be respected. I started the remodel with such insecurity because I was always second guessing myself. Candace was able to provide the right answers and show me on a drawing, walk thru's at the design centers, brought every sample to my home and she is VERY responsive. Her 38" high waterfall granite table provides seating to enjoy the view. There are 28 cabinet drawers for storage, and the food prep, cooking, and clean up areas are all well organized. The electrical plan was also an integral part of the overall design. The under cabinet power outlets are especially nice and have minimized wall outlets. The lighting is able to be changed to create a variety of moods as well as provide specific task lighting.
