**★★★★★ — D. Crosby Ross, June 2019**

> I had the privilege of working on two extremely complex projects with Dean Pratt. Both experiences are memorable. Dean was professional, thoughtful, serious and always a pleasure to be with. Both projects took well over two years each. They required diligence with great attention to detail. His work ethic was excellent and his ego was never in the way of what was agreed upon to be the best results for the clients, who on one project was me.

> Dean is a man of fine character with high standards. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an Architect that will be resourceful and is a pleasure to work with.

**★★★★★ — Steve Rodriguez, May 2019**

> Dean and I have worked together many times. His abilities, knowledge and expertise in residential architecture are extraordinary. On schedule and on budget every time. His vision and unexpected creativity sets him above the rest. I would trust Dean with any building project ever. A true friend in the industry.

**★★★★★ — debbyd48, Jan. 2018**

> We have worked with Dean on several very high end homes several of which have been published. He is an exceptional architect, capable of professionally coordinating all phases of the building process including engineering and permitting. He is very thorough and general contractors and their subs enjoy working with him because of his competence and team approach. I will give him the highest recommendation to anyone who is considering an architect.

A large, meandering Mediterranean house was designed to afford views to the expansive gardens and two man-made ponds designed for the site. The client's sole directive at the outset of the project was that, when completed, he wanted…

 - Description: A high-craftsman style aesthetic, this project is a remodel of an existing two-story, white clapboard house, and included numerous additions to the first and second floors. The project exhibits craftsman detailing throughout the interior and exterior, with mahogany paneling, stone and hardwood floors, and exotic wood pegging and inlays to highlight the craftsmen’s effort who executed the design.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Stunning Details** *(in Photo Questions)*

The details on this cathedral ceiling - and the kitchen overall - are just beautiful! Understated yet stunning. You guys should be so proud of your work!

A: So nice if you to aay ao. It was a great project for us.

**Q: what is the 2 colour code for the bedroom . it is beautiful colours** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Selvi;
From my records, this was an ICI Dulux color no.:511 Le Chateau MP \#20YY 18/140. However, my understanding is that ICI was acquired by AkzoNobel in 2008. You might try contacting them to see if they transferred the color designations. Best of luck, Dean

**Q: kitchen chairs** *(in Photo Questions)*

Might I ask the manufacturer and model of the kitchen chairs from this picture?

A: I'm afraid I don't know the manf. of those chairs. There was an interior designer on the project who selected them.

**Q: Pool plaster** *(in Photo Questions)*

What color is the pool plaster?

A: 15'-6 x 35'-6"

**Q: Stacked Stone** *(in Photo Questions)*

We love how this project turned out! The stacked stone looks beautiful. Can you let us know where it came from?

A: It's a native sandstone found throughout the southwest and it goes by a multitude of names. Santa Barbara sandstone is one moniker, Klondike yellow is another. The best approach is to visit a stone yard and pick the material from what they have in stock that fits the application. As a natural material, the color and figure can vary widely and you can be sorely disappointed by just specifying a natural material without seeing it in person. Best of luck!

**Q: love the wallpaper** *(in Photo Questions)*

Who is the manufacturer of this wallpaper?

A: Hi Julia; I'm afraid I don't have a spec for this material as we selected it through a local fabric rep. The material is called grass mat and there are a multitude of colors, weaves and textures available and you can start a search here. https://www.designyourwall.com/products/beige-and-cream-grasscloth-nl413-pr-25835?taxon\_id=8
Good luck, Dean
